After a year of hard work without a day off, transportation companies plan to give well-deserved Tet bonuses and provide air and bus tickets for workers. Those who stay on during Tet will also enjoy special benefits.
Attractive salary and bonus
In 2024, Phuong Thanh Transport Investment and Construction Joint Stock Company (Phuong Thanh Tranconsin) participated in the construction of 12 projects, with a total of 1,800 engineers and workers.

According to Mr. Pham Van Khoi, Chairman and General Director of Phuong Thanh Tranconsin, on the occasion of Tet At Ty 2025, the company's Northern construction sites will be closed from December 27th and will resume work from January 6th. Southern construction sites will be closed for 4 more days (2 days before and 2 days after Tet), returning on the 8th day of Tet.
To facilitate the travel of employees, the company will hire a shuttle bus for employees. Employees who provide their own transportation will be provided with a sleeper bus fee. Managers from the team leader level and above will be reimbursed for airfare to meet work progress and requirements.
Phuong Thanh Tranconsin's leaders said that currently, in addition to gifts in kind, employees will receive a 13th month salary, Lunar New Year bonus, and year-end title and emulation bonus (depending on the title).
Outstanding staff with excellent achievements during the year will be rewarded at the end of the year. In addition, the company also has regional allowances and attraction allowances to support workers working at remote construction sites. All payments will be made before Tet.
In 2024, Cienco4 Group also recorded certain successes when investors continued to "choose the right person to entrust" to carry out many large road and airport infrastructure projects.
The group’s leaders said that they have come up with a plan to support round-trip airfare for project participants in the southern region to return to Nghe An or the northern region for Tet. Some staff will be rented sleeper buses with meals included along the way.
For projects from Da Nang to the North or from the North to Nghe An, engineers and workers will be provided with a car to pick them up and drop them off both ways. Those returning from other routes will also be supported 100% of the cost of buying bus tickets.
Regarding Tet bonuses, in 2025, the company will still maintain the mechanism of rewarding 2 months' salary for officers and employees.
Workers are supported with air tickets.
Ending 2024 with work output about twice as high as the previous year, Mr. Cao Dang Hoat, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Dinh An Group Company Limited, said that in 17 bidding packages of 12 major transportation projects nationwide, more than 630 engineers and workers of the unit are still working "3 shifts, 4 shifts".
Dinh An’s staff, engineers and workers are scheduled to take turns taking Tet holidays. The holiday starts from December 25 (lunar calendar) and they return to the construction site from the 6th day of Tet.
The workload increased, the number of employees increased by 2 times compared to 2023, but Mr. Hoat affirmed that during Tet, Dinh An Group still had timely benefits for employees.
For projects in the Western and Southern regions (geographical distance from home to project over 500km), engineers and workers will be supported to travel by plane; those less than 500km from home will be supported with car tickets. Regarding Tet regime, there will be a 13th month salary bonus.
Collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements during the year will be honored with higher salary and bonus mechanisms than other employees.
As one of the largest transportation enterprises in the country, participating in the construction of 14 projects with thousands of permanent workers, the leader of Deo Ca Group said that for the Lunar New Year 2025, the unit has planned to arrange Tet holidays for workers at the projects with two criteria: Meeting the holiday needs of workers and ensuring project progress.
Before and after Tet, the Group arranges buses to take workers home for Tet and back to the construction site.
Participating in the construction of 11 traffic projects nationwide with about 300 engineers and workers, Mr. Nguyen Phi Long, General Director of Thanh Huy Group Joint Stock Company, said that from December 22-25 of the lunar calendar, construction sites in the southern area of Thanh Huy will start Tet holiday. Transportation by plane or car will be arranged depending on the geographical distance and nature of the work.
"Wringing up" construction during Tet
“Welcoming the New Year without forgetting our duties,” said Mr. Pham Van Khoi, the unit has focused its workforce on construction throughout Tet at the Vung Ang – Bung expressway, Long Thanh airport, and Gia Binh – Bac Ninh airport projects. The number of engineers and workers directly working on Tet construction at Phuong Thanh accounts for about 20% of the entire company.

In addition to the general Tet regime, engineers and workers working during Tet will enjoy special regimes according to each rank and position: 1 million VND/person for ordinary workers; 1.5 million VND/person/day for team leaders; Deputy management board level is 2 million VND/person/day, commander level is 2.5 million VND/person/day working during Tet.
Workers working during Tet are also supported with double the usual food allowance; Tet gifts from the company's leaders to celebrate Tet at the construction site and are arranged to take compensatory leave after Tet.
The leader of Dinh An Group also said that during the Lunar New Year 2025, it is expected that about 60% of the unit's engineers and workers will stay at the construction site. Along with the basic income, each engineer and worker who stays will enjoy the regime in accordance with the Labor Law.
Similarly, Cienco4 Group has planned to arrange personnel to work during Tet at Long Thanh airport and Bung-Van Ninh expressway projects. For Quang Tri airport project, workers will take a break from the 29th of Tet and return to work earlier than other projects (from the 3rd day of Tet). The regime for workers working during Tet is implemented in accordance with regulations.
Deo Ca Group is also developing a plan to work through Tet. During Tet, staff, engineers and workers will receive special allowances, in addition to their 13th month salary.
With the motto: "All union members and workers have Tet", Vietnam Transport Trade Union has issued a Plan to organize activities to take care of union members and workers on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2025.
Accordingly, trade unions at all levels are requested to proactively participate with competent authorities to grasp the situation, inspect and supervise employers in implementing legal regulations on salary and bonus regimes during Tet.
