After being released from prison, An worked as a worker in an industrial park and saved some money to start selling drugs. Since September 2022, An has repeatedly bought drugs from an unknown person in small quantities for his own use and resale.

In November 2022, An saved 35 million VND so he decided to buy a large amount of drugs including 100 ecstasy pills and 30 grams of Ketamine.

An transferred 35 million VND to an unknown person, then 2 days later went to the central bus station of Da Nang City to receive a package containing drugs.

Late on November 29, 2022, Cam Le District Police raided room 201, K19 Phong Bac 20, Hoa Tho Dong Ward, Cam Le District, searched and discovered An hiding a large amount of drugs in a teddy bear, including 92 ecstasy pills and nearly 30 grams of trays of Ketamine.

In the case, PNBH (23 years old, living on Hoang Dieu Street, Hai Chau District, Da Nang City) is An's lover, helped An rent a room, but did not know about An buying and selling drugs so was not prosecuted.
