Binh Phuoc: When sports and football are socialized, the audience benefits.

The policy of socialization in sports in recent years has been focused on by the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, not only contributing to promoting the sports movement among the people, but also gradually bringing Binh Phuoc sports further.

Nurturing talent

Previously, when mentioning Binh Phuoc sports, most fans almost only remembered and mentioned the "Conquering Ba Ra Peak" mountain cross-country race. Starting in 1993, the race was a grassroots playground for local youth, but then quickly developed strongly and became one of the oldest cross-country races in Vietnam with the participation of thousands of athletes each season.

Since the first marathon held in Binh Phuoc, the running movement has spread to all ages and classes of people.

From this tournament, it has contributed to nurturing and developing 2 typical athletes of Binh Phuoc, namely the "king" of Vietnamese marathon Hoang Nguyen Thanh - who has successfully conquered the title of "king of mountain climbing" Ba Ra 9 times, won the national marathon championship 6 times in a row (2019 - 2025), and especially the historic gold medal for the Vietnamese marathon at the 31st SEA Games in 2022; or female athlete Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa who brought home a bronze medal at the 31st SEA Games for the Vietnamese team and won the national marathon championship 3 times in 2020, 2022 and 2024...

From 2023, the Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group will be held for the first time in Phuoc Long Town and two characters Hoang Nguyen Thanh and Hoang Thi Ngoc Hoa will also be chosen as ambassadors of the tournament.

Immediately after the tournament was launched, a series of branches of banks, companies, businesses... not only participated in sponsoring the tournament, but also organized teams and groups to practice and run every day to participate in conquering the marathon held for the first time in the province.

As expected, the Binh Phuoc Marathon - Truong Tuoi Group was very successful when attracting more than 5,000 professional and amateur athletes from inside and outside the province to participate, this number has increased 3 times compared to the previous season, in which the majority are athletes in the province, showing the attraction and spread of the tournament to people in practicing sports, especially running.

Socialization of sports

The success of socializing sports in Binh Phuoc cannot be mentioned without mentioning the formation and development of the Information Corps Women's Volleyball Club - Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc (from August 2023 to December 2024), the most successful club in Vietnamese sports, especially Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club competing in the national first division for the past 2 years.

Immediately after becoming the main sponsor of Binh Phuoc Football Club from 2023, Truong Tuoi Group has not only invested heavily to bring in a series of stars such as: Cong Phuong, Ho Tuan Tai, goalkeeper Bui Tan Truong or coach Nguyen Anh Duc... Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club renovated the field, seats in the stands for fans, applied VAR (video technology to assist referees) at Binh Phuoc Stadium... and especially free tickets for people and fans when coming to cheer.

With only a few hundred people coming to the stadium to cheer 2-3 years ago, by the 2024-2025 season, there were matches attracting 8,000-10,000 spectators . Also during this time, in Binh Phuoc, a series of private football fields were opened to meet the needs of people, especially young people, to practice the 'king sport'.

Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan (living in Dong Xoai City) shared: "I am very happy that Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club has not only recruited many stars but also established a football academy early to develop young talents for the team in the future. Taking care of each seat for fans also shows that the team is very respectful of the fans, that's why I come to the stadium to cheer for the team almost every match."

Among the fans who regularly come to the stadium to cheer, many people are familiar with the image of Ms. Tran Tue Hien, Chairwoman of Binh Phuoc Provincial People's Committee, watching and cheering for the province's football team.

At the launching ceremony of Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Football Club for the 2024-2025 season, Ms. Hien shared: "It has been a year since Truong Tuoi Binh Phuoc Club was recognized by the Vietnam Football Federation as a professional club. We can be somewhat assured about the decision to socialize the team and be proud of the initial results that the club has achieved."

The effective use of community participation and support from the private sector by the Binh Phuoc provincial government in recent times has not only contributed to promoting mass sports movements, but also made sports an indispensable part of people's daily lives.

This will contribute to concretizing the goals of physical education and sports development in the new period in Binh Phuoc province such as: increasing the rate of people participating in regular sports to over 38% by 2025 and over 42% by 2030. The number of families practicing by 2025 will reach over 28%, by 2030 it will reach over 32% of households in the province...
