While collecting scrap metal along the beach, a man discovered a plastic bag containing 1,500 white tablets, identified as ecstasy (MDMA).
On the evening of November 23, the Border Guard of Quang Ngai province is conducting procedures to request an appraisal and investigate the origin of 1,500 ecstasy (MDMA) pills that were recently discovered on the beach.
Previously, at around 8am the same day, while collecting scrap metal along the shore of Le Thuy village (Binh Tri commune, Binh Son district, Quang Ngai), Mr. Nguyen Tan H. (52 years old, resident of Le Thuy village) suddenly discovered a plastic bag containing many round, white tablets drifting ashore.

Suspecting drugs, Mr. H. reported to Binh Thanh Border Guard Station (Border Guard of Quang Ngai province).
At the scene, authorities found a plastic bag containing about 1,500 white tablets, measuring 0.3x0.8cm.
Tested using a rapid test, the white crystalline substance tested positive for MDMA (ecstasy) and THC (the main ingredient in marijuana).
In addition, Binh Thanh Border Guard Station organized patrol forces to collect and prevent drugs from continuing to drift ashore.
