Korean community wants to "go towards the sun" to settle down and make a living
“Falling in love” with Ocean City at first sight, many Koreans have planned to “move east” to the most livable city in the East of Hanoi to settle down and start a career, promising to create a vibrant and bustling lifestyle at Grand World.
Admire the gorgeous beauty of "Asia in miniature"
The 300 seats at the “Greetings from Ocean City” program held at Grand World in early March were filled as the number of attendees exceeded the organizers’ expectations. The community from the land of kimchi living, studying and working in Hanoi did not want to miss the opportunity to attend the event. During the 6 hours (from 13:30 to 19:30), the diverse activities took place, taking the guests from one surprise to another.
Kim Hyun Gon, an IT engineer who has been living in Vietnam for 5 years, arrived at the “destination city” in the East of Hanoi very early. And until the program ended, he still did not want to leave.
“Walking around the subdivisions of Ocean City, I feel like I am lost in my hometown, very close. I really have to take my hat off to the way the investor creates a “tailor-made” living space,” said Mr. Kim Hyun Gon, sharing that “the intention to move appeared right after the first steps.”
The Korean community enthusiastically participated in the event “Greetings from Ocean City” on March 2. |
Comparing Ocean City with leading cities in Korea, Ms. Chang Eun Sook - President of the Korean Association in Vietnam, sees many similarities.
“In the past, new cities in Korea have gone beyond mere residential spaces and developed into important centers in many areas such as economy, culture, education... I believe that Ocean City will be the same, a place where Koreans and Vietnamese can live happily together in harmony," Ms. Chang Eun Sook emphasized.
The feelings of Korean guests are completely understandable, especially when coming to K-Town, the heart of Grand World. With a total area of 6.5 hectares, the subdivision is like a picture combining many architectural styles, with the reproduction of K-Legend neighborhoods with traditional, ancient features intertwined with K-Street with a youthful, modern spirit... However, at first sight, it can be immediately recognized that this is the "land of oppas" through the design of the welcome gate, mascots, and Korean-standard idol characters... This is the place that has helped residents and visitors create a series of "thousand-like" photo sets that have taken social networks by storm in recent times.
K-Town is not only imbued with the Korean spirit through its “appearance” but also through cultural exchange through regularly held events. The main connecting point is the 1.2-hectare square, where the national flower of Korea is located, along with the art light performance area, promising to explode with a series of “blockbuster” programs.
This can be clearly seen from the “K-Day in K-Town” festival taking place in November 2023. Thousands of young people had a rare opportunity to transform into “Korean movie stars” in traditional Hanbok costumes of their host country; prepare delicious dishes from the land of kimchi or experience folk games of the two countries Vietnam - Korea... This will certainly be a factor that helps the “destination city” in the East become the center of the “Hallyu trend” in the near future.
Outstanding utilities pull the Korean community "to the East"
More than 200,000 Koreans are living and working in Vietnam, and about a quarter of them are staying in Hanoi. In fact, this community has grown steadily in recent years, stimulating the emergence of a series of Korean neighborhoods in inner-city districts such as Thanh Xuan, Nam Tu Liem, Bac Tu Liem, etc. However, K-Town Grand World in the heart of Ocean City with both "Korean-standard" architecture and amenities is activating the trend of Koreans "going East" more and more strongly.
K-Town at Grand World attracts the Korean community because it possesses dual criteria: it is both an ideal place to live and an outstanding business opportunity, brought by a system of truly Korean-style utilities, classy and worthy. Accordingly, the subdivision is planned with many industries according to the "golden ratio" to bring many "Korean standard" experiences. Present here will be many famous brands from Korea, especially beauty care chains, spas, cosmetics, cuisine... to meet the diverse needs of all customer groups from children, teenagers, middle-aged people and the elderly.
The activities of the commercial districts in the heart of K-Town Grand World in the future will take the form of Myeongdong night markets; Hongdae food and art street; Iteawon “integration avenue” or Keangnam rich street… This is a factor that helps passport holders from the homeland of Hanbok see the “shadow of their homeland”, and at the same time creates a highlight that tourists who want to have fun and relax in a high-class style cannot ignore every time they come to Hanoi.

The migration of Koreans to Grand World will become more and more exciting in the future. |
As a part of Grand World, K-Town’s life is also stimulated by the activities of other subdivisions. In fact, a series of “commercial coordinates” here have officially opened since the end of last year, gathering hundreds of famous domestic and foreign brands, attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors every week.
Considered as an “entertainment universe”, Grand World is also a meeting place for international-class festivals. Along with that, a series of cultural and artistic programs regularly take place, bringing attractive spiritual dishes, the most prominent of which are the live show The Grand Voyage; European concerts; performances along the Venice River or fireworks every night…
The colorful diversity of the five continents, along with the comfortable and full life according to Korean standards at Grand World, will be a "magnet" attracting the Korean community to move to the East of Hanoi more and more strongly in the near future.
