The Minister of Transport has just signed a decision to announce the opening of Tien Son dry port located at Lot 7, TS 9 Street, Tien Son Industrial Park, Tu Son City, Bac Ninh Province.
Tien Son dry port has an area of 114,836 m2, with an expected throughput capacity of about 120,000 TEU/year, invested by Bac Ky Investment Joint Stock Company.
The objective of this dry port is to exploit, provide services and carry out import and export procedures for goods at the dry port in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP dated April 4, 2017 of the Government and the Investment Certificate and Business Registration Certificate issued by the competent authority.
The Ministry of Transport requires the investor (Bac Ky Investment Joint Stock Company) to perform the responsibilities and powers of a dry port operator as prescribed in Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP and relevant legal provisions; organize dry port operations when all procedures have been completed as prescribed and for the right purpose, in accordance with the investment stages, ensuring safety, security, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental pollution prevention.
The investor is responsible for exploiting and maintaining the works and items in accordance with the announced plan and current regulations; all cases of renovation, expansion, or change in the nature of use of the works must be reported to the competent authority in accordance with regulations.
It is known that Tien Son dry port of Bac Ky Investment Joint Stock Company was invested and built with an area of 100,000m2 and rented a warehouse on a land area of 14,836m2 of An Huy Consulting and Service Company Limited.
Previously, in May 2024, the Ministry of Transport agreed on the policy of converting the customs clearance point for import and export goods at Tien Son inland container depot (ICD) into Tien Son dry port.
Tien Son inland port transports goods by road and highway to Hai Phong and Quang Ninh seaports.
