Opportunity for candidates who forgot to confirm admission

The Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) this afternoon issued a notice on extending the time for online admission confirmation.

Accordingly, although 5:00 p.m. on August 27, 2024 is the deadline for candidates to confirm their admission on the General Admission Support System (System), however, through feedback from training institutions and candidates, there are currently a number of candidates who, when enrolling directly at the school, discovered that they had not confirmed their admission on the System.

Therefore, to facilitate candidates, the Ministry of Education and Training announces to continue opening the System for candidates to complete admission confirmation procedures before 5:00 p.m. on August 31, 2024.

Previously, on the evening of August 27, the Ministry of Education and Training announced that this year, the whole country had 733,600 candidates registering for university admission. The number of successful candidates in the first round was nearly 673,600.

By the end of the admission confirmation period on the Ministry's system - at 5:00 p.m. on August 27, 81.87% of candidates were officially admitted because they completed all procedures, an increase of 1.53% compared to last year.

More than 122,000 candidates passed the entrance exam but did not confirm their enrollment. According to regulations, if they do not have a valid reason, their results will be canceled. If they want to enter university, they must participate in additional exams or re-apply for admission in the following years.

In 2024, there will be about 20 university admission methods used by schools. With the method of considering high school graduation exam scores, the standard score ranges from 14 to 29.3 points. The leading major is the Literature and History Pedagogy major of Hanoi National University of Education.
