Managers and researchers have provided comprehensive and profound insights and proposed solutions to continue preserving and promoting the cultural values and people of Quang Nam - a huge and abundant resource serving the province's sustainable development in the new situation.
Identifying Quang culture and people
Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Trieu Long - Director of the Regional Political Academy III in his opening speech at the workshop said that the cultural values and people of Quang Nam were formed in the unique natural, geographical and historical conditions, and are also the fundamental factors that determine the success in the development stages of Quang Nam.
Recognizing the importance of cultural and human values in history, the locality always has policies to continue promoting these values in the present and future, demonstrating advanced leadership thinking.
And Mr. Long asked the question: "What must we do so that the cultural values and people of Quang Nam can truly be the local endogenous strength, an important resource contributing to socio-economic development, creating the position, image and cultural brand of the province in the new context?".
To contribute to a deeper and more comprehensive understanding of the cultural values and people of Quang Nam associated with the sustainable development of the province in the new period, Associate Professor, Dr. Doan Trieu Long suggested that scientists focus on discussing a number of key issues such as clearly identifying the cultural values and people of Quang Nam from traditional to modern times that need to be promoted in the new period, the values that lie in the common source of the national value system; determining tasks and solutions, especially breakthrough tasks and solutions in promoting the cultural values and people of Quang Nam to meet the requirements of sustainable development of the province and tasks and solutions to concretize the implementation of the national value system, cultural value system, family value system and standards of Vietnamese people in the new period...
Assessing the value of Quang Nam people in the Vietnamese human value system, Dr. Vu Ngoc Hoang - former Secretary of Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee said that all Quang Nam people are passionately patriotic and heroic in fighting and sacrificing to protect the sacred Fatherland, very rich and diverse in culture of defending the country, have the spirit of national community, love compatriots, race, help each other in difficult and dangerous times; are hard-working, diligent in raising children and taking care of family; studious. Transforming values to develop the homeland
Through 8 presentations and opinions, exchanges of agencies, units, experts, scientists, managers related to the cultural field along with dozens of other presentations at the workshop, it was viewed from many aspects, many angles, from the natural and social characteristics throughout the history of formation and development of the land and people of Quang Nam.
It can be said that, for a locality with rich cultural potential like Quang Nam, fully and deeply identifying and strongly and effectively promoting cultural and human values and transforming these values into great and abundant resources to serve rapid and sustainable socio-economic development is one of the very important and scientific requirements and tasks.
From the natural characteristics of Quang Nam land, the west is high mountains, the east is the vast sea and in the process of formation, development, coexistence, cultural exchange and acculturation, the unique characteristics of human personality have been formed and nurtured, creating a unique Quang Nam cultural tradition in the diversity of Vietnamese culture: patriotism, humanity, solidarity, loyalty, frankness, straightforwardness, friendliness; studiousness, academic achievement; bravery, resilience, heroism, dedication, innovation, high responsibility for the country's destiny; early expansion of international exchange and cooperation to develop economy and culture; innovation, dynamism, creativity and aspiration to develop the homeland and country...
Speaking at the conclusion of the workshop, Provincial Party Secretary Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that the workshop proposed tasks and solutions in the coming time, specifically focusing on leadership, direction, management, research, thoroughly understanding and concretizing the implementation of viewpoints, policies, tasks, and solutions associated with the issuance of mechanisms and policies to ensure and attract resources, contributing to the construction and development of Quang Nam culture and people. Prioritize investment in building Quang Nam people to develop comprehensively in association with building a healthy and civilized cultural environment. These are two factors that have a dialectical relationship with each other.
“The opinions expressed at the workshop are valuable experiences, assessments, affirmations, suggestions and proposals for Quang Nam to continue to build and perfect policies on cultural and human development in the new period according to the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party, the direction of the late General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong at the National Cultural Conference on November 24, 2021 and the Resolution of the 22nd Provincial Party Congress” - Comrade Luong Nguyen Minh Triet affirmed.
In his welcoming and opening speech at the workshop, Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet said that Quang Nam has cultural resources crystallized by capital resources formed from a rich and unique system of tangible and intangible cultural values.
Currently, cultural resources are being identified with cultural industries. Among the 13 cultural industries, Quang Nam's potential and advantages are present in many industries; in which, cultural tourism is prominent. This is identified as an important resource that not only meets the spiritual needs of the people in the province and domestic and foreign tourists when coming to Quang Nam, but also is the shortest "way" to promote the image of Quang Nam to the people of the whole country and the image of Vietnam to international friends. Hoi An Ancient Town and My Son Sanctuary are considered national assets, one of the identifying characteristics of Vietnam tourism.
