(NADS) – On the morning of December 5, in Da Nang, the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City organized a scientific seminar with the theme “Da Nang Literature and Arts – 50 years of construction and development”.
The scientific conference “Da Nang Literature and Arts – 50 years of construction and development” was organized by the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City. This is also an activity to look back, summarize and evaluate the half-century journey of Da Nang literature and arts accompanying the country’s literature and arts since the country’s reunification; an opportunity to honor the results and achievements that generations of artists have contributed and continue to affirm the role and responsibility of literature and arts on the Party’s ideological and cultural front.
Attending the workshop were: Ms. Tran Thi Man, Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Da Nang City; Ms. Mai Thi Thu, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Mr. Tran Viet Phuong, Deputy Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Department; Mr. Doan Thanh No, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, along with the entire
Over the past 50 years, Da Nang city's literature and arts have produced many outstanding and valuable works and creative projects in terms of content , ideology, artistic quality, consistent with the national cultural identity and cultural characteristics of the city, meeting the spiritual needs of the people. Along with the development of the city in all fields, literary and artistic products are increasingly diverse, rich, and colorful, meeting the new and multi-faceted requirements of social life; contributing to the construction and development of Da Nang city and the country.
There have been outstanding works, projects, and authors who have won awards over the past 50 years, such as the Ho Chi Minh Prize, the State Prize for Literature and Arts; the Mekong River Literature Prize; the Mekong River Subregion Fine Arts Prize; many artists have won awards and medals of all kinds when participating in competitions, festivals, and exhibitions abroad.
The Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang City has been awarded the Third, Second and First Class Labor Medals by the Party and State; for many consecutive years, the National Committee of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Vietnam has awarded the Emulation Flag for Units that have excellently fulfilled their tasks and the Chairman of the People's Committee of Da Nang City with a Certificate of Merit.
