On August 26, in Sweden, the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden held a press conference on a series of events celebrating the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945-2024) and the 55th anniversary of Vietnam-Sweden diplomatic relations (1969-2024).

Accordingly, the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden coordinated with a number of Vietnamese authorities and Vietnamese associations in Sweden to organize the following events:
On September 6, 2024 (Friday), at the Musikaliska Kvarteret Theater (address Nybrokajen 11, 111 48 Stockholm), a series of special events will take place.
The Vietnam - Sweden Business Forum 2024 event was organized by the Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden in coordination with the Vietnam Trade Office in Sweden and FPT Corporation Vietnam with the theme: "Digital transformation - Energy transformation - Innovation: Cooperation for a sustainable development future".
It is known that the Vietnam - Sweden Business Forum 2024 will be co-chaired by Ambassador Tran Van Tuan and Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hoang Long. This event will be an opportunity for businesses of the two countries to exchange experiences and explore cooperation opportunities, opening up new directions for development in bilateral relations, contributing to the sustainable development and prosperity of both countries.
Speaking to reporters of the Industry and Trade Newspaper, Mr. Tran Van Tuan - Vietnamese Ambassador to Sweden, concurrently in Latvia, said: "According to statistics from the Department of International Law - Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, out of 42 agreements and agreements between Vietnam and Sweden that are still in effect, there are up to 18 agreements and agreements related to the field of science and technology. Vietnam and Sweden have great potential for cooperation in the fields of digital transformation, energy transformation and innovation. Currently, a number of businesses from both sides are very interested in investing and doing business with each other's partners in these fields ."
This was followed by the 79th Anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the 55th Anniversary of Vietnam - Sweden Diplomatic Relations and a Vietnamese culinary reception.
Within the framework of this event are the Exhibition of photos and handicrafts organized by units under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam with the theme "Colors of Vietnamese Culture"; Cat Ba Island Tourism Exhibition organized by Hai Phong City People's Committee; Ao Dai performance program performed by the Vietnam Ao Dai Heritage Club of Hanoi City; Screening of the documentary film "Vietnam - Sweden: More than half a century of warm friendship"; Music performance program performed by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and Marladalen University (Sweden).
The series of events on September 6 is expected to attract about 600 guests and media agencies.
On September 8, 2024, at the Malmo Academy of Music Hall, there will be a musical performance by artists from the Vietnam National Academy of Music and the Malmo Academy of Music (Sweden) and an exhibition of Vietnamese paintings and handicrafts hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam. The program will be open to the public for all music lovers to enjoy.
On September 14, 2024, at the Sundspärlan Event Center (Helsingborg city), a grand music festival combined with a Vietnamese Ao Dai performance by Vietnamese singers and artists will take place. The program is organized by the Vietnamese Women's Association in Sweden for the public.
On September 21, 2024, at the Danderyd District Cultural Center, Stockholm, there will be a Vietnamese music and dance performance by artists from
The Ho Chi Minh City Art Troupe will perform the program. The program will be hosted by the Vietnamese Association in Stockholm and will be open to 150 audiences who love Vietnam and register early.
The photo exhibition on 55 years of Vietnam-Sweden relations and the launch of a bilingual book in Vietnamese and Swedish “The World’s People’s Affection for President Ho Chi Minh” will take place at the end of October. The event is expected to attract about 300 guests and press agencies.
The Vietnamese Embassy in Sweden hopes that the program to celebrate the 79th anniversary of the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the series of events to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Vietnam - Sweden relations mentioned above will contribute to further tightening the traditional friendship between the two countries, while helping Swedish people and businesses have more authentic, useful and diverse information about the country, people, economy and culture of Vietnam.
