On August 29, Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) organized the final round of the Student Competition with Creative Startup Ideas in 2023. The competition aims to promote the spirit of innovation in life as well as in study and scientific research of university students across the country.

With the theme “Promoting open innovation and digital transformation”, after more than 2 months of launching, the organizing committee has received more than 100 projects from more than 30 universities and colleges across the country. The projects are diverse and multi-disciplinary such as: biotechnology, healthcare, information technology, food technology...

Through the preliminary rounds, the jury selected 27 projects to participate in the final round. The winning projects were guided by the Organizing Committee on product completion skills, business models, startup finance, investment capital calling and pitching... with a total prize value of 84 million VND and incubation packages at NIIC worth nearly 1 billion VND.

At the final round, the jury awarded the first prize to the Aquabetle Plus project - Product to increase performance from the extract of the leaves of the guava tree by a group of students from Nguyen Tat Thanh University. The two second prizes were: Otusleep project - Natural sleep aid film from lotus heart and Vietnamese herbs by a group of students from Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade; and the project of Shampoo and hair care gel from the green mugwort plant by a group of students from Duc Trong High School, Lam Dong province.

Two third prizes include the CentiWork project - a platform connecting freelancer Talents with businesses by a group of students from the University of Economics and Law, Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Minh City, Banking Academy; the project of Herbal pesticide from neem oil and custard apple seeds by a group of students from the Faculty of Food and Environmental Engineering, Nguyen Tat Thanh University. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded 4 consolation prizes, 4 potential prizes and 14 movement prizes to the remaining projects.
