At the meeting, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Thanh Do emphasized: In recent times, Dien Bien province has cooperated with the French Embassy in Vietnam in many fields and achieved positive results. In the field of Agriculture and Environment, Dien Bien province is implementing the Nam Rom River Basin Multi-Disaster Management Project to protect people's lives, adapt to climate change and develop the socio-economic development of Dien Bien province using ODA capital from the French Development Agency.

In addition, within the framework of the visit to the French Republic in November 2024, the delegation of Dien Bien province was honored to visit and work with the Caen Museum of Memory. Immediately after the working trip, Dien Bien province directed relevant departments to conduct research and propose contents to sign a Cooperation Agreement between the Dien Bien Phu Victory Museum and the Caen Museum of Memory.
