Binh Thuan chosen to host the 2024 3-Cushion Carom World Championship

BTO-On the morning of June 12, Mr. Le Son Hai - Deputy Minister, Vice Chairman of the Ethnic Committee, President of the Vietnam Billiards & Snooker Federation, along with the working delegation of the Vietnam Billiards & Snooker Federation had a working session with the Provincial People's Committee.

On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, together with leaders of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism received the delegation and discussed issues in coordinating the organization of the 2024 Carom 3-Cushion World Championship (World Championship 3-Cushion 2024) and the General Assembly meeting of the World Billiards Federation (UMB) .

At the meeting, Mr. Le Son Hai hoped that Binh Thuan would cooperate to organize the 2024 Carom 3-Cushion World Championship. This is a major sports tournament and will be broadcast live worldwide in 4 languages. Accordingly, Binh Thuan will coordinate to ensure security, health, and facilities to organize the tournament, as well as welcome athletes from around the world. The Carom 3-Cushion World Championship is also a cultural exchange activity and an opportunity to promote tourism for Binh Thuan. The tournament is expected to take place on September 9, 2024 , because the World Billiards Federation has chosen Vietnam and Binh Thuan as the locality to organize the tournament.

Mr. Nguyen Minh - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee spoke at the meeting: This is a big event if it takes place in Binh Thuan, it will have many meanings. Not only is it a sports activity, but it is also a cultural exchange, promoting Binh Thuan tourism. This special event will contribute to bringing the image of people, culture, and landscapes of Binh Thuan far and wide. On behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, the Vice Chairman welcomed the delegation, after this meeting, he will report to the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Standing Committee to ask for approval and will work with the Vietnam Billiards & Snooker Federation to coordinate, to ensure the time of the World Billiards Federation (UMB) .
