As Binh Thuan online reported, the Dinh Thay Thim Cultural - Tourism Festival takes place from October 28 - 30 (September 14 - 16 of the lunar calendar) at Dinh Thay Thim and Nganh Tam Tan (La Gi town) with many traditional tourism, cultural and sports activities.
Previously, folk rituals such as: Welcoming the gods, receiving the Royal Decree and Certificate of recognition of the relic, incense offering ceremony, entering the temple, offering cakes to the Master and his wife, vegetarian noon offering, giving food and wealth, inviting births, commemorating the ancestors and offering to the soldiers, and the main ceremony were solemnly and dignifiedly held according to all the religious rituals of the people of Nganh Tam Tan which are preserved and passed down.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ms. Dang Thi Hong Lam - Vice Chairman of the Town People's Committee - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Dinh Thay Thim Cultural - Tourism Festival 2023, emphasized: In 2023, La Gi town is honored to be selected by the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province for the Dinh Thay Thim Traditional, Cultural and Tourism Festival as one of the contents and activities of the Provincial People's Committee to respond to the National Tourism Year 2023 - Binh Thuan - Green Convergence.
The Party Committee, government and people of La Gi town always identify, preserve, maintain and promote the good values ​​of the Dinh Thay Thim Traditional, Cultural and Tourism Festival as a contribution to preserving the national cultural identity. We always respect, are proud of, and constantly preserve and promote the good values ​​of the festival.
In order for the festival to truly become a unique and attractive tourism product that attracts people and tourists nationwide, meeting the religious needs of the people. In the coming time, La Gi town will continue to follow the direction of the People's Committee of Binh Thuan province in Decision No. 1992/QD-UBND on "Preserving and promoting Dinh Thay Thim Festival in Tan Tien commune, La Gi town to serve tourism".

Dinh Thay Thim is a valuable relic in many aspects: culture, history, art and sculpture, but above those works are intangible cultural values. This year's festival is held on the occasion of the 26th anniversary of Dinh Thay Thim being recognized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a National Historical and Cultural Relic (September 27, 1997 - September 27, 2023) and 2 years since the Ministry decided to include Dinh Thay Thim Festival, Tan Tien Commune, La Gi Town, Binh Thuan Province in the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage; at the same time, it is also the content of responding to the National Tourism Year 2023 "Binh Thuan - Green Convergence"

Immediately after the opening ceremony, a comprehensive art program performed by artists and actors from Ho Chi Minh City, including a staged scene about “The Legend of Thay and Thim”, attracted local people and tourists from all over the world to enjoy. Besides honoring the merits of Thay and Thim, the program also featured special art performances praising the attractive features of tourism in La Gi town in particular and Binh Thuan in general.

The festival also features many cultural, sports and tourism activities typical of the coastal region such as: exhibition of models of the legend of Thay and Thim, chess tournament, bicycle racing, beach volleyball, tug of war, bird singing contest, cake making contest, dragon fruit harvesting contest, net weaving contest, carrying baskets out to sea, carrying fish, lion - unicorn - dragon performances, bonsai exhibition, music and dance programs, and folk art performances.
