On the afternoon of April 24, the People's Council of Hai Duong province held a thematic meeting to consider the arrangement of commune-level administrative units.

Delegates of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council voted to pass the resolution at the 20th Session of the 17th Provincial People's Council.

This is the second thematic session of Hai Duong Provincial People's Council since the beginning of the year.

At this session, the People's Council of Hai Duong province will consider and decide on many important contents, including issuing a resolution approving the policy of rearranging commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period in Hai Duong province.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council also considered the investment policy for 6 health, education and cultural projects with a total investment of over 1,100 billion VND. These are the projects to build emergency, technical and paraclinical, inpatient, examination and administrative buildings of the Provincial General Hospital; to build a wastewater treatment system for Hai Duong Mental Hospital and 4 district-level medical centers; to build the Provincial Center for Training Excellent Students; to build lecture halls for Hai Duong University...

In the field of transportation, there are a number of major projects being considered for investment policies, including the National Highway 37 bypass through Gia Loc town; construction of a traffic route connecting National Highway 17B with Dinh Bridge, Kinh Mon town; Hai Duong City Ring Road I, from 62m road to Dai An Industrial Park expansion; and adjustment of investment policies to renovate and upgrade provincial road 391.

The Provincial People's Council also considered the submissions on the approval of land recovery, permission to change the purpose of using rice-growing land and forest land to implement additional projects and works in 2024; proposal to recognize Kinh Mon town as a type III urban area; adjustment and allocation of the 5-year local budget public investment plan for 2021-2025 and the third allocation of the 2024 capital plan. At this session, the Provincial People's Council delegates will consider the submission of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council on the implementation of conclusions and recommendations through the supervision activities of the 17th Provincial People's Council, term 2021-2026.
