The Vietnam-China Friendship Palace (Hanoi) was built on a 14,000 m2 plot of land, with a total investment of nearly 800 billion VND, and was inaugurated in November 2017. This project was implemented with non-refundable aid from the Chinese government and counterpart capital from Vietnam. Vietnam - China Friendship Palace is located on Le Quang Dao Street, Nam Tu Liem District (Hanoi). This is one of the most beautiful and wide streets in Hanoi. The building is designed with a round exterior and square interior, inspired by the lotus flower. The circle symbolizes harmony, unity and fulfillment. The total construction area of the project is nearly 14,000m2, located on a campus of 33,000m2, divided into 3 areas A, B and C.
The Vietnam - China Friendship Palace is a place for cultural exchange between the people of the two countries, aiming to enhance mutual understanding, contributing to preserving and developing the friendly relations between the two nations. The entrance to the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace is designed quite modernly. In 2004, the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace was inaugurated by Prime Minister Phan Van Khai and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao. On November 12, 2017, during his official visit to Vietnam, Chinese President Xi Jinping symbolically handed over the key to the Vietnam - China Friendship Palace to National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan.
