Unique village in the village in the middle of the green forest

K'Ho Cultural Village is located in Cu Lan Village, under a valley to the west of the majestic Lang Biang Mountain, in Suoi Can Hamlet, Lat Commune, Lac Duong District (Lam Dong). K'Ho Cultural Village is uniquely designed, with an architecture different from other villages. The walls of the houses are built with hundreds of thousands of large and small stones taken from Suoi Can; the roofs are thatched or tiled, so they still retain the traditional characteristics of ancient indigenous villages.

Each house in the cultural village is used to display and introduce cultural products associated with the life of the K'Ho people such as: a house displaying Central Highlands wooden statues, ancient Vietnamese pottery, brocade; especially there is a library with thousands of books to help villagers promote reading culture and improve knowledge.

There are two stilt houses, inside which are displayed many artifacts and antiques such as household utensils, musical instruments, hunting tools, production tools, livestock farming tools... of the ancient indigenous people. In particular, there are extremely unique dugout canoes still preserved next to ancient jars.

The Cultural Village has a circular gong performance stage. K'Ho artists are on duty to perform for free for visitors to the village; through this, everyone can better understand this unique cultural art form. Visitors can also join in gong dances with K'Ho men and women by the flickering fire, swaying to the beat of the echoing gongs, connecting distant hearts closer together in the vast green forest.

The Central Highlands gong is an intangible and oral masterpiece of humanity. It is Vietnam's second intangible cultural heritage after Hue Royal Court Music and was honored as a world heritage officially recognized by UNESCO.

Coming to Cu Lan Village, visitors can also enjoy many typical, rustic dishes of the mountains and forests at the squatting market area; experience folk games or thrilling games. If there is time, visitors can row a raft on the lake to admire the poetic scenery around the lake and enjoy the cool, fresh air in the middle of nature...

Cu Lan Village is romantic in the early morning mist and quiet in the blue smoke of the peaceful afternoon; the village is associated with the K'Ho ethnic people and is recognized as one of the 6 most beautiful ancient villages in Vietnam.

Musician Van Tuan Anh, owner of Cu Lan Village Tourist Area, shared: "The village officially welcomed visitors in mid-2011 and immediately became an attractive destination for tourists from near and far. UNESCO honored Cu Lan Village as an impressive cultural tourist destination and contributed to changing the tourism landscape of Lam Dong province."

Box: Cu Lan Village is about 23 km from the center of Da Lat City. To get to the village, visitors take Xo Viet Nghe Tinh road, turn left through Ankroet to Dan Kia - Suoi Vang lake and continue the journey on the beautiful winding Dong Truong Son road. Cu Lan Village is located on the left in the middle of a vast forest of green pine trees.
