"I practice day and night because I want to receive the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 award"

This morning (April 12), athletes competing in the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay tournament received their bibs for each competition at the Co To Conference - Seminar Room, 2nd floor, FLC Halong Bay Golf Club & Luxury Resort, alley 16, Nguyen Van Cu street, Hong Hai ward, Ha Long city, Quang Ninh .

Many athletes from all over the country and abroad, of different ages, came to attend this event. From early morning, Ms. Thuy Hong ( Hanoi ) brought her 8-year-old son named Minh Lam to receive the tournament bib. Ms. Hong had prepared very carefully for the tournament. She said: "I spent many months practicing before this tournament. Every week, I try to spend 4 sessions practicing. In the morning I jog, in the afternoon I swim and in the evening I cycle. I finished the competition last year, and this year, I am determined to receive the award".

Pham Ha Anh (8 years old) also came to receive her bib early with her parents. Although she is still young, she has a strong passion for sports . In this tournament, Ha Anh competed in the Kids Aqua Warriors category. Her father also participated in the Full Aqua Warriors category.

Minh Lam (7 years old) and Phuc An (12 years old) were also brought by their parents from Hanoi to Ha Long to receive their bibs for the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay tournament. According to their parents, Minh Lam and Phuc An both love sports and have been practicing since they were young. The family wants their children to have a healthy playground. Phuc An's older brother competes in Sprint Aqua Warriors, while Minh Lam competes in Junior Aqua Warriors.

Hoang Anh (13 years old) from Hanoi will compete in the Sprint Aqua Warriors event. According to her, her family arrived in Ha Long yesterday so that she could prepare best for the tournament. Hoang Anh said: "I have been practicing for a few weeks before the tournament. I came here with the goal of competing and gaining experience to aim for higher tournaments."

Joining in the atmosphere of the Aqua Warriors Halong Bay festival, the Thang Long Swimming Club also came to the tournament with a large number of more than 10 people. The club representative, Mr. Danh Trung, shared with Dan Tri: "I have a background in running. I have just switched to swimming training in the past few months. This is the first time I have participated in this tournament. Therefore, I hope to gain experience. The other members of the club have participated in the tournament since last year. They really want to improve their rankings this year."

Bui Ngoc Ha Linh, a member of Thang Long Club (Hanoi), participated in Aqua Warriors for the second time. Last time, Ha Linh participated in the Aqua Warriors Van Don 2024 tournament and completed the competition as scheduled.

At Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025, Ha Linh hopes to achieve higher results, even aiming for a medal in the Sprint Aqua Warriors event. "On average, my friends and I in the club have at least 2 swimming sessions and 2 running sessions every week to improve our performance. My friends and I are very excited to participate in Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 because this is a very interesting tournament, with 2 competition events including swimming and running, bringing a difference and a great experience compared to other tournaments," Ha Linh shared before the tournament.

According to Ha Linh, in the two competitions, she is more confident in the swimming competition, as her swimming performance is higher than that of her peers in the club with a result of about 4 minutes for 100m. "But her running performance is not very good, only reaching pace 6 (average speed of 6 minutes for 1km).

Regardless of the competition results, I am still very happy because this is an opportunity to challenge myself and surpass myself," Ha Linh added. "Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025 brings wonderful experiences, when swimming in clear blue water and running on the beautiful coastal road. I hope that those who have never participated in this tournament will try it once to have memorable moments," the girl from Thang Long Club told her friends.

Mother and son Deborah Bridgewater Clare and James Skinner Jordan from England also attended the bib receiving ceremony this morning. They competed together in the mixed event. Mr. Jordan shared: "We happened to be traveling in Ho Chi Minh City and heard about this tournament in Quang Ninh. My mother participated in the 3km swim, and I ran 15km. Mrs. Clare set a goal of finishing in 90 minutes, and I set a goal of running in 1 hour and 40 minutes."

Amidst the hustle and bustle, a Korean athlete took the opportunity to eat and rest to regain his strength after a long journey to Vietnam. Talking to Dan Tri, he learned about this competition so he flew from Korea to Vietnam to compete.

Ms. Ngo Huong Giang, 39 years old, living in Hanoi with her two daughters, Truong Tue Lam (12 years old) and Truong Thuy Lam (6 years old), enthusiastically participated in Aqua Warriors Halong Bay 2025. Ms. Huong Giang competed in the Olympic Aqua Warriors event, while Tue Lam competed in the Sprint Aqua Warriors event and Thuy Lam competed in the Kids Aqua Warriors event.

"This is the second time my eldest daughter and I have participated in the Aqua Warriors competition, and this is the first time Thuy Lam has participated. All three of us feel nervous and excited to participate in a tournament with so many athletes from all over the country," said Ms. Huong Giang.

According to Ms. Huong Giang, in the last year's competition, both mother and daughter completed the distance, without giving up halfway. "I remember last year I ranked 6th in my age group, which was also a good achievement. This year I hope to win a medal, because I have trained quite hard and made great efforts throughout the past time. As for the older child, because he is a bit older than his age, he has to compete with many other excellent uncles, aunts and older siblings, so his goal is to complete the distance and reach the finish line beautifully," Ms. Huong Giang affirmed.

"I'm also nervous and really hope I can finish as well as possible. In the two competitions, I'm more confident than the running part," Thuy Lam also excitedly shared in her first time participating in Aqua Warriors.

From 3pm this afternoon (April 12), the Junior Aqua Warriors and Kids Aqua Warriors will compete. The remaining events will start from 6am tomorrow morning (April 13).
