According to TechRadar, a giant database containing 71 million login credentials has just been discovered for sale on the dark web for the past 4 months.

Some of the 71 million login credentials that were recently discovered are for sale on the dark web.

The information was shared by the data breach testing service "Have I Been Pwned?" (HIBP). People can easily check if their email is on this list and from which service it was leaked, by visiting HIBP's website at www.haveibeenpwned.com and entering their email.

If the email appears as "Naz.API", it means that your password has most likely been stolen.

What's remarkable is that 25 million of the 71 million logins that were recently discovered had never been leaked before.

"Unlike previous leaks, this dataset includes 25 million completely new passwords," said Troy Hunt, founder of the HIBP service.

Apple profits up 550% in Korea

Apple generated more than five times more profit from South Korea in fiscal 2023 than the previous year, with net revenue nearly the same as the past two years.

According to The Elec , the increase in profits is due to the popularity of the iPhone 15 series. Apple's revenue from October 2022 to September 2023 is 7.52 trillion won ($5.625 billion), operating profit is 559.9 billion won ($417.8 million).

For comparison, the corresponding figures for the period from October 2021 to September 2022 were $5.9 billion and $91.3 million.

Previously, in the fiscal year from October 2020 to September 2021, the company recorded revenue of 5.97 billion USD and profit of 104.4 million USD.

Experts are still unclear why Apple's profits in Korea increased so much with the same revenue. Most likely, it is because the Korean market has seen a huge growth in services, helping Apple increase its profit figures in this country during the year.

Despite earnings growth last year, it was not a bright spot for Apple as the company saw revenue decline for four consecutive quarters.

Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S24 series with a major focus on artificial intelligence (AI) technology to gain an advantage over Apple, which has yet to bring AI features to the iPhone. However, Apple has also just dethroned Samsung to become the world's number 1 smartphone manufacturer in 2023.

Sam Altman believes that the current supply of semiconductor chips cannot meet the growing demand in this field, including OpenAI.

Therefore, establishing a network of dedicated chip factories for AI is urgent.

Building a modern chip factory would cost tens of billions of dollars, and setting up a global network of factories would take a long time.

OpenAI officially partnered with G42 in October 2023. In addition, Intel (USA), TSMC of Taiwan (China) and Samsung Electronics (Korea) are other potential partners of OpenAI.

According to US research firm Gartner, 80% of companies worldwide will use generative AI in business operations by 2026.
