Indonesian fans only spend nearly 1 million VND to watch Messi play

The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) announced four ticket prices for the friendly match with Argentina. The lowest prices are 600,000 rupiah (nearly 1 million VND), 1,200,000 rupiah (nearly 1.9 million VND), 2,500,000 rupiah (nearly 4 million VND) and 4,250,000 rupiah (6.6 million VND). The highest ticket prices are for VIP stands.

Tickets for this match will be on sale from June 5-7. Gelora Bung Karo Stadium has a capacity of 77,000 spectators. The number of tickets sold is about 60,000. The remaining tickets will be given away to sponsors, partners, and guests of the Indonesian Football Federation.

" We have researched ticket prices to suit people's budgets. But this is a big sporting event so we have to balance it ," Mr. Thohir shared about the announced ticket prices.

Mr. Thohir announced ticket prices for the match between Indonesia and Argentina.

The Indonesian Football Federation is said to have spent 5 million USD (about 120 billion VND) to invite Argentina to play a friendly match. This figure has really shocked the Indonesian public. This amount does not even include the cost of food, accommodation, travel, and hotel rental for the Tango team. However, PSSI President Erick Thohir has spoken out to reassure.

" Don't worry about the money for this match. We are not poor so don't talk as if we are poor. I affirm that PSSI works very professionally and transparently. The match between Indonesia and Argentina cannot be measured by money ," said Mr. Thohir.

The Argentine team will bring to Indonesia the stars who won the 2022 World Cup such as Messi, Di Maria or Mac Allister. The three cases that have to stay home due to injury are Lautaro, Lisandro Martinez and Dybala. Meanwhile, coach Shin Tae Yong summoned 26 players, with many naturalized faces such as Sandy Walsh, Jordi Amat, Shayne Pattynama. A member of PSSI revealed that the team from the archipelago aims to win 1 point in this friendly match.

The match between Indonesia and Argentina will take place on June 19 at Gelora Bung Karno Stadium. Mr. Thohir requested the stadium management to fully prepare the facilities and not organize any events during the period from June 16-20.
