This is also the venue for the 2024 Friendship Spring Tour program co-organized by the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations and the Hanoi Department of Tourism. This annual cultural exchange activity is attended by many domestic and foreign delegates.
Attending the event on the Hanoi side were Party Central Committee member, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen.
In addition, more than 400 delegates including representatives of some central ministries, departments, and agencies, Hanoi City; Ambassadors and their spouses, and diplomatic staff at embassies; representatives of international organizations and foreign non-governmental organizations in Vietnam attended traditional incense offering ceremonies at temples and pagodas; took care of ivory bamboo groves in the grounds of Soc Temple Relic Site; visited stalls selling traditional craft village products...
"This trip helped me understand more about traditional culture and the friendly and hospitable Vietnamese people," shared Mr. Ralph Anselm Guzmán Dorsey, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of the Dominican Republic in Vietnam.
Meanwhile, Massaly, a student studying in the UK, could not hide his surprise when watching the artists performing bamboo flower ham, phoenix wing betel leaf wrapping, and rice balls. Mr. Massaly also enjoyed the special dishes right at the program.
The highlight of the Friendship Spring Tour was the friendly exchange program between the international delegation and the Central and Hanoi City delegates. The delegates enjoyed songs, dances, music and special dishes imbued with Vietnamese culture.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, emphasized that this is an extremely meaningful opportunity to introduce Vietnamese culture to foreign friends living in Vietnam, and at the same time, it is an opportunity to meet and exchange cultures to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the Vietnamese people and international friends.
"We hope the program will bring international friends many interesting experiences about the unique cultural values and hospitality of the people of Hanoi as well as the Vietnamese people, and at the same time, open up new cooperation opportunities with Soc Son district in the near future," Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Ky shared.
On behalf of the international delegates participating in the program, Mr. Saadi Salama, Ambassador of Palestine, Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, expressed his gratitude to the Hanoi leaders for their attention to people-to-people diplomacy and to international friends working and living in Hanoi.
Ambassador Saadi Salama also expressed his appreciation for the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, the Hanoi Department of Tourism, the leaders and people of Soc Son district for organizing and warmly welcoming him, and believed that the current peaceful and friendly activities have, are and will contribute to giving Vietnam a bright future and a worthy position in the hearts of international friends.
Also within the framework of the program, the Organizing Committee sent congratulations and presented gifts to female Ambassadors and their spouses on the occasion of the 114th anniversary of International Women's Day.
