Player Paulo Gali Freitas has just completed the procedure to transfer to PSIS Semarang Club from Karketu Dili (a team in the East Timor National Championship).

Of course, this would not be worth mentioning if Paulo Gali did not look older than his age. On his passport, this player was born in 2004, meaning he is only 18 years old.

But many sources say that, in fact, Paulo Gali was born in 1997 and the information on his documents is fake.

Previously, at the 2017 Southeast Asian U16 tournament, Paulo Gali caused a shock by playing for the U16 East Timor team when he was only 12 years old.

Notably, he is much taller and more experienced than both his teammates and opponents. In addition, the player born in 2004 also shows outstanding skills and football thinking.

After those impressive performances, Paulo Gali was promoted to the U19, U23 and East Timor national teams.

Also in 2017, Paulo Gali was signed by Laulara FC (East Timorese National Championship) and started playing professional football.

Now, with his move to PSIS Semarang, the East Timorese player has sparked controversy in the media.

However, PSIS Semarang Club CEO Yoyok Sukawi still affirmed that Paulo Gali is only 18 years old and only believes in his passport.

"Based on his passport, his date of birth is December 31, 2004, he is only 18 years old. We only believe the information on the documents," Yoyok told CNN Indonesia.
