These days, when coming to a boarding house in Binh Hoa Ward (Thuan An City), it is easy to feel the lively atmosphere of the workers after work. Mr. Cao Thanh Quang, Vice Chairman of the Ward People's Committee, said, "This is a familiar address for workers, especially Khmer workers. Many cultural activities have taken place here that are suitable for their lives." It is known that many love affairs have arisen here and become husband and wife.
It can be said that the need for male and female workers to communicate, make friends and get to know each other is very large, especially ethnic minority workers from other provinces who come to Binh Duong to live and work. Therefore, many localities have flexibly created weekend playgrounds for them to participate in. One of the good ways is to establish Youth Workers Associations.
Some localities have promoted this model well. Specifically, Khanh Binh ward (Tan Uyen city), has so far established more than 20 branches of workers far from home, including a branch for Khmer youth. Meanwhile, in Di An ward, the Ethnic Youth Workers Association has been established to gather Cham people living in the ward, with the purpose of supporting and helping them. Since its establishment, the association has become a common home for Cham people in An Giang to gather and organize traditional cultural activities of their people.
On holidays and Tet, these branches organize appropriate and meaningful activities and receive positive responses from members. The good news is that during the activities, positive factors have emerged, contributing to local movements. Specifically, Mr. Trieu Vi La, a young Khmer man from Soc Trang, is always ready to become a "bridge" in the work of connecting Binh Hoa ward and Khmer youth. He was honored to be admitted to the Party right at the address where he lives every week.
After tiring working hours, workers really need meaningful addresses and playgrounds to promote their role for the community, as well as to connect with each other, thereby joining hands to build Binh Duong richer and more beautiful. Hopefully, there will be more and more playgrounds like this born!
