Lam Dong Tourism: Ensuring safety and service quality

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DTC) of Lam Dong province has just issued a document requesting the People's Committees of districts and cities in the province to strengthen inspection and review of investment, construction and registration of tourism business activities. This is part of the effort to improve the effectiveness of state management of tourism in the province, in order to ensure the sustainable development of the tourism industry, one of the key economic sectors of Lam Dong.

Tourist areas with many exciting games attract tourists

Inspection and review work will be carried out on many important aspects of tourism business activities. Specifically, units will check the declaration, price posting, fee collection and financial obligations of each area, tourist spot, sightseeing spot, agricultural tourist spot, as well as cafes that sell tickets and charge for sightseeing and photography. In particular, units will have to check the collection of drinking water fees at fixed prices in the area. In addition, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will review tourist areas and spots to add new units or eliminate units that are no longer operating.

This activity not only aims to improve the effectiveness of state management of tourism but also complies with the provisions of law and the tourism development orientation of the province. Lam Dong, with its cool climate and beautiful natural landscape, has become one of the most attractive tourist destinations in Vietnam. However, the rapid development of the tourism industry also poses many challenges, including managing service quality and protecting the rights of tourists.

Inspection and review will help detect and promptly handle violations in tourism business activities, thereby ensuring that business establishments comply with legal regulations on investment, construction, registration and tourism business activities. This not only helps improve service quality but also creates trust for tourists when coming to Lam Dong.

According to statistics, Lam Dong province currently has about 112 tourist areas, spots and attractions, including 1 national tourist area, 2 provincial tourist areas and 15 tourist attractions recognized according to the provisions of the Law on Tourism. In addition, there are 94 other areas and spots that have not been recognized. This diversity shows Lam Dong's great potential in tourism development, but also places high demands on management and control of service quality.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, one of the biggest challenges today is that some tourism businesses have not complied with regulations on prices and service quality. This not only affects the experience of tourists but also reduces the reputation of Lam Dong tourism industry. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen inspection and review to ensure transparent and fair operations. In addition, raising awareness among businesses about the importance of complying with legal regulations is also very important. Businesses need to be guided and supported to comply with regulations, thereby creating a healthy and sustainable business environment.

Strengthening inspection and review of tourism business activities in Lam Dong not only helps improve service quality but also ensures the rights of tourists, while promoting the sustainable development of the province's tourism industry. With these efforts, Lam Dong hopes to continue to affirm its position as one of the leading tourist destinations in Vietnam, attracting more and more domestic and foreign tourists.
