Quoting the famous proverb: "We do not inherit the Earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from future generations", the Prime Minister emphasized that every action we take today will determine the fate of future generations.

With that viewpoint, Vietnam pledges to make every effort together with other countries, partners, and the international community to strive to achieve the goal of net zero emissions before 2050, contributing to the development of a green, clean, beautiful, and sustainable world, for the future of future generations.

To contribute to putting the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals back on track, accelerating and reaching the finish line on time, the Prime Minister shared with the Conference three proposals:

The first is to focus on promoting three key transformations: digital transformation, green transformation and energy transformation.

The Prime Minister affirmed that digital transformation is an objective requirement and a foundation; green transformation is the center and guiding direction; energy transformation is the driving force for sustainable development and carbon emission reduction.

The Prime Minister emphasized that science, technology and innovation play a pivotal, breakthrough role and are the key to transformation processes for sustainable development.

Therefore, the Prime Minister suggested that the G20 should take the lead in connecting resources, sharing experiences, transferring technology, providing financial support, enhancing capacity and creating an open ecosystem of science, technology and innovation for developing countries with the principle of not politicizing science, technology and innovation.

The Prime Minister's second proposal is to focus on promoting investment in people with a consistent viewpoint of taking people as the center, the subject, the goal, the driving force and the most important resource of development; at the same time, focusing on progress, equity, social security and environmental protection.

In that spirit, the Prime Minister welcomed Brazil's efforts to reduce inequality, especially for women and children, and to ensure social justice and inclusive development during its G20 Presidency year.

The Prime Minister emphasized that these are important and prerequisite conditions for sustainable development and energy transition to serve the interests of the people, "leaving no one behind".

Finally, the Prime Minister called for promoting innovative financial cooperation models and effective investment, especially public-private partnership, to unlock, mobilize and effectively use all resources for sustainable development and energy transition.
