Accordingly, the amount of imported frozen pork and frozen chicken was increased; the amount of vegetables from growing areas in Da Lat and some districts of Lam Dong is expected to arrive at supermarkets in the evening of September 8. At the same time, goods sources were increased from Phu Tho province to supply supermarket systems in Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Hanoi, etc.

“To support people in the Northern provinces after storm No. 3, the Co.opmart supermarket system is also providing free phone charging and free drinking water in supermarket lobbies in Hai Phong, Hanoi, Quang Ninh, etc. In addition, many essential foods are still being discounted by 30-50% to share the difficulties with people,” said a representative of Saigon Co.op.

Similarly, all WinMart supermarkets and Winmart+/Win stores in the northern provinces are also open for normal operations. In particular, food items such as leafy vegetables have been quickly supplemented from WinEco farm, along with suppliers from Lam Dong and the southern provinces to points of sale in Hanoi and the northern provinces newly affected by storm Yagi. Essential food sources are also regularly supplemented by the unit, such as fresh food items such as meat, fish, vegetables, and essential products such as rice, instant noodles, etc. are supplemented by 30% compared to normal days with stable prices.

However, the number of shoppers was not high because people were still focusing on cleaning up after the storm.
