Singer Sy Ben is currently renting a room in District 12, Ho Chi Minh City. The room is about 10 square meters, low ceiling, has a loft, rent is about 1.3 million/month.

Every day, all activities from cooking, bathing to hygiene of the singer Mua bui take place here. At night, he sleeps in the attic - only enough for 1 mattress, surrounded by clothes and odds and ends.

For many years, Sy Ben has been living off his wedding singing fees, sometimes only having a show every few months, each show earning around 2-3 million VND. The income is only enough to pay for rent and living expenses, not enough to cover medical treatment.

Recently, no one invited him to sing, so he drove a motorbike taxi for friends and acquaintances, earning 100-200 thousand VND/day to cover his living expenses. Every time the rent was due, the singer had to borrow more money.
