Ministry of Construction announced the opening of Tan Chi dry port phase 1 in Bac Ninh

The Ministry of Construction announced the opening of Tan Chi dry port phase 1, contributing to reducing the load on seaports and optimizing transportation costs for businesses.

Accordingly, Tan Chi dry port is located in Tan Chi commune, Tien Du district, Bac Ninh province. The dry port has an area of ^{​​81,910.9m2} , invested by DABACO Vietnam Group Joint Stock Company.

The objective of the dry port is to exploit, conduct business services and carry out procedures for exporting and importing goods at the dry port in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP of the Government and the Investment Certificate and Business Registration Certificate issued by the competent authority.

The decision clearly states that the investor shall perform the responsibilities and powers of a dry port exploitation enterprise according to the provisions of Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP of the Government regulating investment in construction, management and exploitation of dry ports in Vietnam and relevant legal provisions.

Along with that, the organization of dry port exploitation must complete all procedures according to regulations and for the right purpose, in accordance with the investment stages, ensuring safety, security, fire and explosion prevention, and environmental pollution prevention.

The investor is also responsible for operating and maintaining the works and items in accordance with the announced plans and current regulations. Any case of renovation, expansion or change in the nature of use of the works must be reported to the competent authority in accordance with regulations.

The Ministry of Construction assigns specialized state management agencies to perform specialized state management responsibilities at Tan Chi dry port according to the provisions of Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP of the Government and relevant legal provisions.

The Vietnam Maritime and Waterways Administration is assigned to organize the inspection and supervision of dry port operations in accordance with the provisions of Decree No. 38/2017/ND-CP of the Government and relevant legal provisions.

The opening of Tan Chi dry port phase 1 is of great significance in implementing the Plan for the development of the dry port system for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050, approved by the Prime Minister. This dry port will contribute to promoting import and export activities, reducing logistics costs, improving the competitiveness of enterprises and contributing to the socio-economic development of Bac Ninh province and neighboring areas.
