High-quality Vietnamese goods business community contributes to promoting gender equality

On March 25, at Thong Nhat Hall (HCMC), the Ceremony to Announce High-Quality Vietnamese Goods in 2025 took place.

Speaking at the announcement ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council , said that today's event was held at Thong Nhat Hall - a sacred historical site - on the occasion of the whole country celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025). This is not only an annual event, but also carries a profound message: in the flow of half a century after unification, the spirit of self-reliance, self-improvement, innovation and integration has been fostered and clearly demonstrated through each step of growth of the Vietnamese business community, especially the private economic sector.

According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Ho Chi Minh City - the origin and cradle of the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods community - is also the place where the private economic sector has the strongest growth. In 2024, the private sector will account for 77% of the city's economic structure; total social investment capital in the area will reach more than 395,000 billion VND, of which more than 67% will come from the private economic sector. Notably, GRDP in 2024 will grow by over 10% - a clear demonstration of the leading role of this sector.

Businesses present today, from food, consumer goods, technology, agriculture to creative service industries, are the "living cells" of a dynamic and self-reliant economy.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Le, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Council, spoke at the announcement ceremony.

High-quality Vietnamese products not only satisfy the domestic market, but also gradually conquer regional and international consumers, strongly contribute to exports, create jobs for millions of workers and spread Vietnamese cultural and spiritual values.

The city is also building institutions to support businesses such as the Innovation Center, Digital Transformation Center, and Industry 4.0 Center to accompany and support businesses in improving productivity, competitiveness, and implementing green transformation and digital transformation.

The Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee affirmed that the High-Quality Vietnamese Goods program over the past 29 years has become a trustworthy symbol for consumers, an effective connection channel between businesses - consumers - managers - scientists - the press. The High-Quality Vietnamese Goods business community not only creates good products but also brings positive social values ​​such as promoting gender equality, green startups, community responsibility, sustainable development...

Awarding certificates to businesses that have achieved the title of High Quality Vietnamese Goods in 2025 as voted by consumers

The city proposes that in 2025, there will be closer coordination between the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises and departments such as Industry and Trade, Science and Technology, Agriculture, etc. to integrate business support programs in a practical way, design policies that are close to the needs and new context. At the same time, it is expected that there will be more High-Quality Vietnamese Goods enterprises boldly investing in upgrading international quality standards, building green supply chains, digitizing production and trade activities, developing sustainably and spreading the model of socially responsible enterprises.

Ms. Vu Kim Hanh, Chairwoman of the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises, said that the Executive Board of the Association believes that there has never been a more difficult year than this year. However, history shows that the more difficult and challenging the situation, the more Vietnamese enterprises unite and rise up strongly.

At the Ceremony to Announce and Award the Certificate of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods in 2025, the Association of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods Enterprises awarded certificates to 562 enterprises that achieved the title of High-Quality Vietnamese Goods in 2025 as voted by consumers. Of these, 41 enterprises received the certificate for the first time and 32 enterprises have maintained this title continuously for the past 29 years.
