Coast Guard Region 3 Command: Meeting with press agencies in early 2024

On January 9, in Vung Tau City, Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 held a conference to meet with press agencies in early 2024. Comrade Tran Minh Nam, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department attended the conference.

In 2023, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 successfully completed its assigned tasks. The unit proactively coordinated closely with local media agencies, effectively implementing propaganda activities. Thereby, it contributed to raising awareness and responsibility of officers and soldiers in the unit and cadres, party members, and the masses towards the sea and islands of the Fatherland.

In 2024, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 will continue to coordinate with the Propaganda Departments of the City Party Committee, Provincial Party Committee, and press agencies in the stationed areas to continue promoting propaganda on the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws on security and order management, socio-economic development associated with ensuring national defense, security and military diplomacy. Improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda on the Party and State's policies and legal documents on seas and islands; the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea; the 2012 Law on the Sea of Vietnam; the 2018 Law on the Vietnam Coast Guard; activities to fight to protect sovereignty, security, order and safety of seas and islands; activities to fight against all types of crimes and law violations; search and rescue work, overcoming the consequences of natural disasters; training activities, combat readiness, building a regular order and all aspects of security work. In particular, raise awareness and consciousness for Vietnamese fishermen not to violate foreign waters for illegal, unreported and unregulated fishing (IUU). Effectively implement the mass mobilization program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen", "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots"; the contest "I love my homeland's sea and islands" in localities; activities to celebrate Tet, welcome the spring of Giap Thin 2024, associated with the peak period of fighting and suppressing crimes at sea before, during and after the Lunar New Year of Giap Thin 2024.

At the conference, the Command of Coast Guard Region 3 organized the signing of a program to coordinate propaganda on seas and islands with 16 press agencies, including Ninh Thuan Newspaper. Announced the 2023 commendation decisions.
