This year, the President awarded the title of People's Teacher to 21 teachers and the title of Excellent Teacher to 1,167 people.

At today's ceremony, authorized by the President, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a ceremony to award the title of People's Teacher to 21 teachers from ministries, branches and localities and the title of Excellent Teacher to 65 teachers under the Ministry of Education and Training.

In 2024, after 8 times of selecting Outstanding Teachers, the Minister of Education and Training also signed a decision to award Certificates of Merit to 1,851 teachers.

Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son said that good, dedicated, exemplary teachers, and especially excellent teachers, have a core, leading role and great influence.

“Present at today’s event are people’s teachers, excellent teachers, teachers and exemplary education managers of the sector, who have played a particularly important role in education innovation and development,” said the Minister. He expressed his recognition and appreciation for the contributions of teachers to the education sector, to the country’s science and innovation in recent times.

“Education is a difficult task, true education, education with the right morals, education towards high quality, attracting learners, spreading the spirit of creativity and endless learning inspiration to learners is even more difficult. To achieve the title of People's Teacher, Excellent Teacher, and Outstanding Teacher, teachers have been dedicated and loved their profession, have made many contributions, have overcome difficulties and challenges to express themselves and spread good values. I hope that teachers will continue to demonstrate their important role, spread to colleagues, to students, to society the spirit of how they have become excellent, contributing to making our industry have more and more excellent people and the excellence will increase, more especially will spread forever", Mr. Son said.

Minister Nguyen Kim Son said that in the coming time, there will be many challenges that the education sector will have to face to overcome and successfully carry out major tasks.

To successfully carry out these major tasks, the entire education sector must be very determined and must meet many necessary conditions. In particular, the human factor, typically teachers and education managers, plays a particularly important role.

People's teachers, excellent teachers, and exemplary teachers will be the core to best promote their own experience, intelligence, determination, and creativity, while sharing, spreading, inspiring positivity, and multiplying good things to the community of teachers.

The head of the education sector also expressed his hope that teachers would continue to self-study, self-renew, and overcome their own limits to best promote excellence.

“Teachers are excellent people who need to be the core for solving new and difficult problems. Excellence does not wait to be assigned or requested, but that excellence needs to be demonstrated through a spirit of dedication, responsibility, initiative, and positivity in what has been done, is being done, and needs to be done for the country's education.”
