Long Bien College announces scholarship fund worth 4.2 billion VND for students

On the same day, at the headquarters of Long Bien College (LBC, formerly Long Bien Vocational College) in Phuc Loi ward, Long Bien district, Hanoi, the Organizing Committee held a press conference to officially announce the new identity and enrollment information, and scholarship program for 2025.

In 2025, the school will enroll 13 majors (intermediate and college levels) with 1,615 targets. For the Fashion Sewing and Fashion Design majors of the college level, the criteria for receiving scholarships are: Official admission and completion of the study program. Accordingly, students will receive a full scholarship from the accompanying enterprise of up to 51 million VND. The number of scholarships in this form is 80, with a total value of over 4 billion VND.

In addition to the scholarship, college students of the above two majors and the Tour Guide major will also receive an additional 35 million VND/person (equivalent to 70% of the total tuition fee) from the State's study support policy. In addition, there are other types of scholarships such as: Chinese and Korean language scholarships (1.5 million VND/student); Chinese language scholarships, 1+2 program (1 year of study in Vietnam, 2 years of study in China); Scholarships from affiliated, cooperating and sponsoring businesses of the school.

Mr. Doan Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the Admissions Council of Long Bien College shared: "The total number of scholarships that the school and accompanying businesses awarded to students enrolling in 2025 is more than 300, with a total value of more than 4.2 billion VND. Compared to last year, the school's scholarship fund this year has increased 10 times. That shows the school's new orientation in providing learning opportunities and stable careers for students. Especially for students in remote areas and students with especially difficult circumstances."

Therefore, instead of focusing on recruiting students in areas in the Red River Delta and North Central regions where living standards are stable like in previous school years, in 2025, the school will expand enrollment to areas with particularly difficult socio-economic conditions such as Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Lai Chau, and Cao Bang.

"These are areas with a large source of students, especially ethnic minority students and students with especially difficult circumstances, but the rate of studying at vocational schools is very low. Partly due to the preference for university study, the second part is due to the lack of information about preferential policies when studying vocational training. Especially having a job with a stable income right from school", Mr. Tuan explained.

In recent years, to solve the problem of employment for students, the school has seriously implemented the commitment "Go to school with salary - Get a job after graduation". For majors with a large concentration of female students such as Fashion Sewing, Fashion Design, in the first internship (in the second year of study), students are arranged jobs at nearly 20 member units of Garment Corporation 10 with a salary of about 8 million VND/month.

Students majoring in garment industry have jobs and salaries right in school.

Immediately after graduation, students are retained to work, without having to spend time looking for a job. After the probationary period, they will achieve an average salary of 12 million VND/month or more. Depending on the job position, in stages and departments requiring high skills, the salary can be up to 18 million VND. In 2024 alone, 100% of female graduates will have stable jobs at member units of Garment Corporation 10 - a companion and sponsoring enterprise of the school.

Mr. Doan Van Tuan said that according to statistics up to now, the school has provided labor, especially high-quality human resources for Garment Corporation 10 alone, from 1,000 to 1,500 people. Some people's income reaches from 20 to 25 million VND/month.

Not only for the two traditional majors with the school's strengths mentioned above, for the remaining majors, the school also commits to 100% employment for students after graduation. At the press conference, the school signed strategic cooperation agreements with enterprises such as: German - Vietnamese Business Association, Wondertour International Travel Joint Stock Company, Tin Thanh Trading - Service Company Limited, Silver Age Vietnam Technology Company Limited, AAC Technologies Vietnam Company, Faculty of Tourism - Foreign Languages ​​(Vietnam Academy of Agriculture).
