Secrets to study well and graduate with honors

This morning, April 12, Tran Le Bao Tran, a new marketing graduate from the University of Finance and Marketing, just received her excellent graduation certificate (GPA 3.64). Bao Tran was also commended for her outstanding English ability (TOEIC 975).

It is known that if the schedule is correct, it would be 4 years, but Tran completed the program in 3.5 years. Sharing about the process of studying ahead while still maintaining good results, Bao Tran said: "I prioritize studying theoretical subjects in the summer semester or the semester with less credits. These subjects usually have few group assignments, can be self-studied so it is easy to take the initiative with time."

According to Tran, studying ahead can easily get confusing if there is no plan. Therefore, this female student often divides her study schedule clearly, avoids having many heavy subjects overlap with exams or deadlines, and spends at least 1-2 hours each day studying and reviewing early so as not to be pushed back.

"I know that if I misunderstand the topic or deviate from the main point, I will lose points. I invest a lot of time and every time I receive guidance from teachers, I take careful notes and ask questions if I don't understand. If I encounter difficulties in the lesson, miss a deadline, or need advice, I usually notify the lecturer in advance by email or text message. When I clearly show my goodwill and responsibility, the teachers are also very willing to support me," Tran shared.

Another experience is that Bao Tran focuses on studying the outline and what the lecturer emphasizes. Then she makes her own flashcards (information cards) to review the theory, which will be very easy to remember. With the presentation, the female student makes clear slides and presents them neatly.

It is known that despite studying ahead of schedule, Bao Tran still tries to maintain a regular schedule by resting when tired and not pushing herself too hard. Every day, Tran still takes time for herself such as walking, listening to music, or just resting properly.

50 new graduates graduate early

Master Le Dung, Head of Training Department of Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics and Finance, said: "Among the more than 300 new graduates receiving their degrees this time, there are 50 students who studied ahead of schedule, including 4 students who studied ahead of schedule and graduated with excellent results and nearly 40 with honors."

New graduates are happy with their parents on the day they receive their diplomas.

According to Master Dung, many new graduates have high English achievements with IELTS scores of 7.0 and TOEIC scores of 850 or higher.

Along with Bao Tran, Nguyen Thi Thu Truc also graduated ahead of schedule in international business, with excellent grades (GPA 3.65), or Ho Nguyen Anh Thu in international business graduated ahead of schedule with a TOEIC English score of 925.

At the master's level, there are two new valedictorians in business administration, Le Hoang Nhu Uyen and Pham Thi Nhu Hang, both achieving an average score of 3.8/4.0.
