Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long also noted that in October, there is National Digital Transformation Day on October 10. The National Digital Transformation Department and units need to coordinate well to prepare content related to implementing activities to create a push in implementing digital transformation.

Recently, cyber fraud has continued to develop in a complex manner. On average, each week the National Cyber Security Monitoring Center - NCSC under the Department of Information Security, Ministry of Information and Communications receives about 400 reports from Vietnamese Internet users about fraud cases, of which the most are cases of impersonating banks, e-commerce sites, and competent authorities.

Assessing that the situation of online fraud is still very 'terrible' while newspapers still report on incidents sporadically, Deputy Minister Pham Duc Long requested the Department of Information Security, the Department of Press and VietNamNet newspaper to consider having a place to summarize all types of fraud and ways to prevent fraud to help people easily monitor and avoid them.

To prevent fraud through impersonation calls, at the conference, Director of the Department of Telecommunications Nguyen Thanh Phuc said that, implementing the direction of the leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Department has issued a document requesting agencies and units within the Ministry to provide a list of phone numbers that regularly transact with people to deploy the identification name - brandname of the Ministry.

After attaching brandname to the phone numbers of the Ministry of Information and Communications that have transactions with the people, the Ministry will widely publicize that calls to people claiming to be from the Ministry of Information and Communications but not displaying the brandname are calls with signs of fraud, thereby helping to reduce the problem of fraud by calling impersonating the Ministry of Information and Communications and its units.
