On the morning of June 21, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, led by Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung, member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and congratulated Dak Lak Newspaper and the Voice of Vietnam Central Highlands Resident Agency (VOV Central Highlands) on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).
Joining the delegation were comrades: Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; H'Lim Nie, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Truong Hoai Anh, Director of the Department of Information and Communications.

Reporting to the Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung and the working delegation during the working session, Party Cell Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Dak Lak Newspaper Dinh Xuan Toan summarized the results of the editorial office's activities in the past time. After 48 years of establishment and development, Dak Lak Newspaper has increasingly demonstrated its role as the province's key media agency. Currently, it is implementing two types of journalism in parallel: printed newspaper (published 6 issues per week, in addition to a monthly publication published on the 25th of every month) and electronic newspaper (updating news regularly every day). Dak Lak Newspaper is constantly innovating its content and form, improving product quality, and meeting the increasing needs of readers.

At the meeting, Party Cell Secretary and Editor-in-Chief of Dak Lak Newspaper Dinh Xuan Toan proposed to the Provincial Party Secretary and the working delegation a number of contents, specifically: The Newspaper Headquarters was built in 1997, many items and constructions were damaged and degraded, the working rooms were cramped; old equipment, outdated technology..., not meeting the needs of operating a converged newsroom model.

Regarding the construction and development of Dak Lak Electronic Newspaper until 2025, with a vision to 2030, Dak Lak Newspaper has sent a document requesting the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee's approval to develop a Project to meet the requirements of digital transformation, aiming to build press agencies in the direction of multimedia communication, professionalism, humanity, and modernity; fulfilling the mission of information and propaganda to serve the revolutionary cause of the Party and the cause of national innovation.

Faced with the current situation of insufficient human resources compared to the assigned quota (23/35 positions), Dak Lak Newspaper requested the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to pay attention and direct the relevant agencies to advise on the early addition of staff to ensure the quota assigned by the Provincial Party Committee. Regarding the implementation of Directive 11-CT/TW dated December 28, 1996 of the Politburo, Dak Lak Newspaper also requested the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee to pay attention and direct the grassroots party organizations to seriously and effectively implement the "Purchase and read Party newspapers and magazines" in the province.
Speaking at the meeting, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung acknowledged and highly appreciated the development steps of Dak Lak Newspaper in terms of form and product quality. Many news lines and articles of the newspaper have been invested in, with in-depth content and professional presentation... creating prestige and brand, worthy of being the "Voice of the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province". Based on the position, role, function and task of the Party newspaper agency, Dak Lak Newspaper needs to pay more attention to pioneering and orientation. Accordingly, the team of reporters and journalists must constantly train in political mettle, professional mettle, ethics, qualifications and capacity, and strive to make more efforts in performing professional tasks.
The Dak Lak Newspaper continues to uphold the spirit of solidarity and responsibility, overcome difficulties and perform well the assigned functions and tasks. In particular, continue to promote the dissemination of resolutions and thematic conclusions of the Provincial Party Committee, term XVII, as well as the province's key programs and projects; constantly innovate and create to produce high-quality press works, serving the increasing needs of readers; continue to improve and enhance quality according to the development trend of journalism in the era of technology 4.0.

Regarding the proposals and recommendations of Dak Lak Newspaper, the Provincial Party Secretary also acknowledged and will direct the relevant agencies to review, consider and resolve them soon.
