Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Tien Chau attended the National Great Unity Day in Huu Bang commune, Kien Thuy district.

(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the morning of November 17, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Huu Bang commune (Kien Thuy district) solemnly organized the "National Great Unity" Festival in 2024.

Attending the festival were comrades: Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Nguyen Van Thuan, former member of the Party Central Committee, former Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Head of the Hai Phong National Assembly Delegation; Dao Trong Duc, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hai Phong City; Dang Ba Cuong, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee; Pham Van Thep, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the City Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee; Bui Duc Quang, Vice Chairman of the City People's Council; Le Khac Nam, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; and representatives of leaders of relevant departments, branches, sectors and localities.

Huu Bang Commune is a locality with a rich history, traditional culture and revolution. The commune is located in the northwest of Kien Thuy district with a population of over 11,000. The commune has 05 historical, cultural and revolutionary relics (including 01 national historical and cultural relic and 04 city-level historical and cultural relics). The commune Party Committee has 12 Party cells with 343 party members. During the resistance wars for national independence and national unification as well as during the period of renovation and integration, cadres, party members and people in the commune have always made constant efforts, overcome all difficulties, united in comprehensively implementing the tasks of socio-economic development, building a strong party and political system, making Huu Bang homeland increasingly civilized, rich and beautiful.

Comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong presented flowers and gifts to congratulate the Festival.

On November 15, the locality was recognized by the City Appraisal Council as meeting the standards of a model new rural commune. Promoting the tradition of national solidarity in 2024, the people and cadres of Huu Bang commune united and achieved high results in the local socio-economic development tasks, actively participating in the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" which was recognized by superiors.

Comrade Dao Trong Duc, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to collectives and individuals.

At the Festival, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city awarded Certificates of Merit to 01 collective and 01 individual; Kien Thuy District People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 02 collectives and 03 individuals of the commune with achievements in implementing the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" in 2024.

On this occasion, the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and the District Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee presented gifts to encourage households in difficult circumstances in the commune.

Attending the Festival to share joy with the local people, comrade Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong happily joined in the warm, happy and enthusiastic atmosphere of the people of Huu Bang commune. He assessed that in general, the material life of the city's people is very high, and spiritual life is clearly concerned. The organization of the Great Unity Festival has been maintained for 22 years, showing the unique beauty of our people. This is an opportunity for local people to review the achievements made in the past year and share valuable experiences to help each other overcome hunger and reduce poverty, building a more developed locality.

He acknowledged the efforts of the Party committees, district and commune authorities and local people in the work of building new rural areas and sustainable poverty reduction. He suggested that in the coming time, the Party committees and authorities should continue to do a good job of mass mobilization so that people can join hands to build new rural areas with improved models, approaching urban criteria, striving to make Kien Thuy a district administrative unit by 2030. In addition, building Huu Bang commune, Kien Thuy district as a drug-free locality, contributing to building Hai Phong city without drugs.

Also this morning, comrade Le Tien Chau, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Hai Phong, and a number of city leaders visited and presented gifts to the family of Ms. Vu Thi Nhi, Van Hoa village, Huu Bang commune, the family of martyrs, and the lonely elderly of the commune.
