After 30 years of construction and development (1995-2025), with the participation of the entire political system and the spirit of solidarity, the efforts and determination of generations of civil servants and public employees who always aim to develop in a professional and modern direction..., Son La Social Insurance has continuously developed and achieved many important achievements in performing the task of ensuring social security in the area.
Along with the establishment and development of Vietnam Social Insurance, after 30 years of construction and growth, Son La Provincial Social Insurance has made great strides in all areas. After 16 years of implementing the voluntary social insurance policy, the whole province has over 47,400 participants. In 2009, the first year the unemployment insurance policy was applied, there were over 47,900 participants. To date, there have been over 121,400,000 participants in unemployment insurance. Health insurance covers 96.3% of the population.
Ms. Duong Thi Thu Tra - Song Ma Town, Song Ma, Son La: I see that the state's policy is to support people participating in voluntary social insurance. Ordinary people are supported with 10%, near-poor households are supported with 20%, and poor households are supported with 30%, creating conditions for people to participate in voluntary social insurance. I myself will try to participate fully until I receive my pension.
Son La Social Insurance has made many breakthroughs in digital transformation, implementing the "VssID - Digital Social Insurance" application and providing services on many applications and platforms to help people have many options in participating and enjoying policies. The whole province has authenticated over 1,196,800 demographic information in the population database, reaching 99.8%; connecting with 228/228 medical facilities. 100% of medical facilities receive health insurance examination and treatment procedures using citizen identification cards, VssID and VneID applications to replace paper health insurance cards. These are important premises to achieve the goal of performing well in social security work in the area.
Mr. Thieu Quang Ngai - Director of Son La Provincial Social Insurance: Closely coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, unions, and People's Committees at all levels in implementing social insurance and health insurance policies, especially the amended social insurance and health insurance laws that will take effect in 2025. Second, strengthen propaganda solutions to communes, wards, groups, and villages to replicate good practices and solutions to understand the Party and State's superior policies on social insurance and health insurance to participate in and enjoy those policies.
The good implementation of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies in the province has contributed to the good implementation of social security policies, stabilizing people's lives, affirming the role and humane meaning of social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance policies that always accompany and are a support for policy participants and beneficiaries.
Mr. Dang Ngoc Hau - Vice Chairman of Son La Provincial People's Committee: In the coming time, determining social insurance as one of the pillar social security policies of the province in general, the province will also focus on directing and the social insurance sector will also make efforts to implement, especially health insurance, one of the targets included in the Resolution of the 15th Provincial Party Congress and in 2025, the 16th Provincial Party Congress will continue to plan to include it as one of the targets for leadership and direction for implementation. Implementing well Resolution 18 of the Central Government is to streamline the apparatus, especially the internal apparatus, to help the social insurance sector continue to grow, especially in the new era.
30 years of a journey of construction and growth, with specific results, has affirmed the role and humane significance of the social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance policies that always accompany and are the support for participants and beneficiaries of social insurance and health insurance policies. With the continuous efforts of the collective of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers of the Son La province's social insurance sector, the Party and the State, ministries, central branches, and the province have been awarded many forms of commendation and noble emulation titles.
