On July 21, at the Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, the closing ceremony of the 2023 National Badminton Tournament for Outstanding Youth and Young Players took place. The tournament was jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports of Ninh Binh province and the Vietnam Badminton Federation.
The 2023 National Badminton Tournament for Outstanding Youth and Young Players will kick off from July 16 to 21, bringing together 34 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors across the country with a total of nearly 500 coaches and athletes.
Athletes compete in the following events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles in 6 age groups: U9, U11, U13, U15, U17 and U19.
After 6 days of exciting and fierce competition, with high professional competitiveness, the 2023 National Badminton Tournament for Outstanding Youth and Young Players ended successfully. The Organizing Committee awarded 36 Gold medals, 36 Silver medals and 72 Bronze medals to 144 athletes.
This is a tournament within the national high-performance competition system held annually to create conditions for young badminton players to compete and improve their professional skills; at the same time, it helps experts inspect and evaluate the training and education of young badminton athletes at units and localities nationwide.
Through the Tournament, we aim to discover and select talented young athletes to add to the national team in preparation for upcoming international tournaments.
