On September 20, the Investigation Security Agency - Ho Chi Minh City Police initiated a case, prosecuted the accused and temporarily detained Tran Khac Duc (born in 1995, residing in District 7, Ho Chi Minh City) for the crime of Making, storing, disseminating or propagating information, documents and items against the Socialist Republic of Vietnam under Article 117 of the Penal Code.

Previously, Ho Chi Minh City Police discovered that Tran Khac Duc participated in the exiled reactionary organization "Multi-party Democracy Gathering" and had worked with him and warned him many times.
However, Tran Khac Duc remained stubborn, continued to contact and receive instructions from leaders of external organizations and carried out activities such as managing reactionary websites; drafting, posting, and sharing many articles with content insulting great men, leaders, celebrities, and national heroes, including President Ho Chi Minh; distorting history, denying revolutionary achievements, and undermining national unity.
At the same time, Tran Khac Duc also sought to connect and develop domestic forces for this organization. Tran Khac Duc's actions posed serious danger, directly violating national security and the political situation in Ho Chi Minh City.
Currently, the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department of Security Investigation is continuing to investigate and clarify the criminal acts of Tran Khac Duc as well as other related individuals and organizations to handle them according to the law.
The exiled reactionary organization "Multi-party Democracy Gathering" led by Nguyen Gia Kieng (in France), established in 1982, operates with the goal of changing the political regime and abolishing the State of Vietnam.
In recent times, this organization has conducted many sabotage activities, taking advantage of social networks and media channels to attract and connect participants; established domestic groups to oppose the Vietnamese State; conducted propaganda activities, sabotaged ideology, distorted and attacked the regime, opposed the Party's policies and guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and demanded pluralism and multi-party system. The activities of this organization seriously violate Vietnamese law.
Ho Chi Minh City Police advise people to be vigilant against activities against the Vietnamese State. When discovering individuals or organizations related to the organization "Multi-party Democracy Gathering", people should immediately report to the nearest police agency for timely prevention and handling.
