According to initial information, at 11pm on August 3, after receiving a report from local residents that two young men were driving a motorbike at high speed, recklessly speeding on the roads, throwing firecrackers at passersby and then accelerating to escape, Task Force 108 of Kien Giang Provincial Police divided into several groups to surround and arrest the subjects. Less than 3 minutes after receiving the report, Task Force 108 successfully chased and controlled the two subjects along with the evidence, and seized two firecrackers.

The two arrested subjects, Nguyen Quoc Tay (born in 1989) and Pham Van Huong (born in 1995, both residing in Duong To commune, Phu Quoc city), confessed that they threw firecrackers at people to satisfy their nighttime pleasures. A quick test found that both subjects tested positive for drugs.
Working group 108 made a record and handed over the two subjects and evidence to Duong To Commune Police for further investigation and handling.
