In general, the order situation in the hamlet is stable, there is no disturbance or major property theft.”

Thanh Dong B commune borders two communes of Co Do district (Can Tho city), Thanh Phuoc commune of Giong Rieng district. With such characteristics, in the past, the border area was often exploited by subjects to complicate security and order.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc Cung - Head of Thanh Dong B Commune Police, from 2019 to now, when regular police were increased to the commune, along with the coordination between local police in the border area in maintaining security and order, the situation in the border area has become increasingly stable.

“Implementing Decree No. 03/2019/ND-CP dated September 5, 2019 of the Government on coordination between the Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of National Defense in performing the tasks of protecting national security, ensuring social order and safety, fighting and preventing crimes and national defense tasks, the situation in Thanh Dong B commune has been increasingly maintained. Because the police force in the commune is still small, the military force has greatly supported the police in handling cases. In recent years, the commune has not had any complicated incidents related to security and order, and there have been no serious crimes,” said Lieutenant Colonel Le Ngoc Cung.
The police coordinated with the Military Command of Thanh Dong B commune to organize night patrols on average 2 times/week. During peak periods, holidays and Tet, both sides focused on grasping the situation, patrolling throughout the day and night to maintain security and order. The two forces increased coordination, monitoring, and grasping the situation of all types of crimes, promptly preventing and handling situations that occurred.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Hung - Commander of the Military Command of Thanh Dong B commune said: "The two sides coordinate to hold regular meetings, promptly handle arising incidents related to security, order and national defense tasks. The military agency strictly implements combat readiness and assigns officers and soldiers to actively coordinate with the police to grasp the situation, patrol and guard to maintain security and order in the area."
