According to the COVID-19 epidemic prevention bulletin on August 6 of the Ministry of Health, Vietnam has 19 new cases.
Since the beginning of the epidemic, Vietnam has had 11,621,997 infections, ranking 13th out of 231 countries and territories, while with the rate of infections per 1 million people, Vietnam ranks 120th out of 231 countries and territories (on average, there are 117,449 infections per 1 million people).

COVID-19 treatment situation
Regarding the number of recovered patients: patients announced to be recovered on the day: 1 case; total number of cured cases: 10,640,3508 cases.
The number of patients on oxygen is 3 cases, including oxygen breathing via mask: 3 cases; high flow oxygen breathing HFNC: 0 cases; non-invasive ventilation: 0 cases; invasive ventilation: 0 cases; ECMO: 0 cases.
Regarding the number of deaths: 0 deaths were recorded on the day; average number of deaths recorded in the past 7 days: 0 cases.
The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam to date is 43,206, accounting for 0.4% of the total number of infections.
Total deaths ranked 26th out of 231 territories, deaths per 1 million people ranked 141st out of 231 countries and territories in the world. Compared to Asia, total deaths ranked 7th out of 50 (ranked 3rd in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people ranked 29th out of 50 countries and territories in Asia (ranked 5th in ASEAN).
COVID-19 vaccination status
The total number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered is 266,532,582, of which 223,841,647 doses have been administered to people aged 18 and over: 70,909,935 doses for the first dose; 68,457,790 doses for the second dose; 14,344,240 doses for the supplementary dose; 52,171,737 doses for the first booster dose; and 17,957,945 doses for the second booster dose.
The number of doses for children aged 12-17 is 23,965,655 doses: 1st dose is 9,130,889 doses; 2nd dose is 9,021,382 doses; 1st booster dose is 5,813,384 doses.
The number of doses for children aged 5-11 is 18,725,280 doses: 10,236,628 doses for the first dose; 8,488,652 doses for the second dose.
