The seminar attracted many experts to exchange and discuss around two main topics: "The influence of Buddhism in the documentary heritage of Ma Nhai Stele at Ngu Hanh Son" and "The work of preserving and promoting the value of Ma Nhai Stele at Ngu Hanh Son".
Speaking at the opening of the seminar, Mr. Ta Tu Binh, Vice Chairman of Ngu Hanh Son District People's Committee, said that the Ma Nhai Stele, an important part of Ngu Hanh Son heritage, is a clear testament to the development of Buddhism in this area. These steles not only record historical events, but also reflect religion, ethics, philosophy of life, as well as the harmony between Buddhist beliefs and local culture.
Presenting the paper "Some issues about the Ma Nhai stele of Ngu Hanh Son related to Buddhism", Dr. Nguyen Hoang Than, Da Nang University of Education, said that there are currently nearly 80 Ma Nhai stele text units distributed throughout the Ngu Hanh Son areas such as Hoa Nghiem cave, Huyen Khong cave, Tang Chon cave, Van Thong cave, Linh Nham cave... In which, Ma Nhai stele text is mainly concentrated on the cliffs of Huyen Khong cave, accounting for nearly half of the total number of Ma Nhai stele text in Ngu Hanh Son.

Accordingly, the Ngu Hanh Son ghost texts are diverse in genre and rich in content, including royal writings, inscriptions, poems, names, tablets, parallel sentences... The genres and forms of the Ngu Hanh Son ghost texts are also diverse, including pure Chinese, pure Nom or a combination of both Chinese and Nom; Khai (Chan), Hanh, Thao scripts and combinations of Chan da Hanh, Hanh pha Thao scripts...
“The current state of the Ngu Hanh Son stele is facing a problem. That is the incompleteness of the text. Some stele have faded, unclear content - the cause of natural weathering; some stele have had their letters chiseled, covered with cement, or written over - the cause of human consciousness”, Dr. Nguyen Hoang Than commented.
In addition, at the seminar, there were many presentations such as: Buddhism in the Nguyen Dynasty through the Ngu Hanh Son stele; Buddhist fragrance in stele poetry; Ngu Hanh Son Buddhism in the Nguyen Dynasty (19th century); Dieu Am special issue inheriting the literary tradition from the Ngu Hanh Son stele; the multi-value nature of the Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot; the process and experience of building the documentary heritage file "The stele inscription at the Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot"; the typical values of the Ngu Hanh Son scenic spot; some issues on preserving the stele at Ngu Hanh Son - Da Nang.
