Dan Tri Newspaper won the C Prize of Dien Hong Award

The second National Press Awards Ceremony for the National Assembly and People's Councils (Dien Hong Awards) - 2024 took place tonight, January 5, at the Vietnam - Soviet Union Friendship Cultural Palace, on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2024).

Speaking at the award ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Man, Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, Head of the Steering Committee of the Dien Hong Award, said that after more than 6 months of launching, the award received 2,679 entries from 138 central and local press agencies.

"Building on the results of the first Dien Hong Award, this year the number of awards and the value of the awards have been increased. However, the Organizing Committee has proactively implemented the award in a scientific, methodical, professional and effective manner, with the award jury being experienced, reputable, impartial, objective and transparent people," Mr. Man affirmed.

According to the Head of the Steering Committee of Dien Hong Award, the works participating in this award are elaborate, rich in topics, sharp in content, diverse in style and modern in journalism means; demonstrating exploration, creativity, attractiveness, and are well received and highly appreciated by readers.

At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded 7 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 20 C prizes, and 38 Encouragement prizes to outstanding authors and groups of authors. In addition, 15 collectives of press agencies were also awarded for their contributions to the Dien Hong Prize.

In which, Dan Tri Newspaper won the C Prize of Dien Hong Prize with a series of 4 articles "Social security policy: From Dien Hong parliament to the grassroots" by the group of authors Phuong Thao - Hoai Thu.

Affirming at the award ceremony, Mr. Tran Thanh Man said that 2024 is a year of special importance in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party and the Resolution on the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025 of the National Assembly.

Therefore, press agencies and journalists need to continue to promote their sense of responsibility, enthusiasm, love for the profession, trust and affection for the people's representative agencies; proactively propagate and promote comprehensively, promptly and effectively to bring the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's policies and laws into life; make increasingly greater contributions to building a more effective and efficient National Assembly and People's Council, worthy of the trust of voters and people.

At the same time, Mr. Man expressed his hope that journalists will explore, discover, create and continue to affirm their role as a bridge between the "Party's will" and the "people's heart"; create positive spillovers, encourage the spirit of solidarity, aspiration, self-reliance, self-reliance, and creativity among the people to build a prosperous and happy country.
