In the first 6 months of 2024, tourism activities in the province were quite bustling, the number of visitors and accommodation increased sharply; programs and plans were implemented promptly and consistently with high consensus, thereby creating a change from awareness to action and responsibility of all levels and sectors, gradually promoting efficiency, contributing significantly to the development of tourism in the province. Infrastructure serving tourism received investment attention, natural landscape, environment, security, social order and safety were always maintained. State management of tourism received attention, many activities to promote, advertise, attract tourism investment, conferences, seminars, and develop tourism products were effectively organized, notably putting into operation a walking street in Phan Rang-Thap Cham City, organizing a survey of tourist destinations and a meeting program with the Famtrip delegation of Korean and Indian tourism enterprises in Ninh Thuan in 2024; organized a survey team to promote tourism in China, participated in the Vietnam Local Promotion Program in the Netherlands - Germany and most recently successfully organized the Ninh Thuan Culture and Tourism Day event in Da Nang in 2024, thereby contributing to introducing, promoting and promoting the image of Ninh Thuan tourism to domestic and international tourists. As a result, the total number of visitors and vacationers in the first 6 months of the year is estimated at 1.97 million, an increase of 15.2% over the same period, reaching 61.6% of the plan; social income from tourism activities is estimated at 2,242 billion VND.

Concluding the meeting, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee acknowledged the achieved results; at the same time, pointed out the shortcomings and limitations that need to be overcome, specifically: The implementation of tourism projects in the province is still behind schedule, leading to the delay in putting into operation high-quality tourist accommodation facilities and new tourism products, entertainment services; the source of career funding for the promotion and organization of cultural, sports and tourism activities and events is still limited, social mobilization faces many difficulties; environmental sanitation in some localities is not timely, the situation of spontaneous tourism service businesses and unfair competition affects the image of tourism in the province. In the last months of 2024, he requested departments, branches, sectors and localities to continue to strengthen communication work to raise awareness of all levels, sectors and the whole society about the development of tourism into a spearhead economic sector; Coordinate to strengthen the inspection and supervision of tourism business management activities in the province, focusing on strictly inspecting and controlling floating houses, floating restaurants, and means of transport operating on inland waterways in the province's sea border area, especially in Bai Kinh - Binh Hung area; focus on removing and resolving difficulties and problems of tourism businesses to ensure timeliness, strictness, efficiency and compliance with regulations. In particular, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism coordinates with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to advise on the successful organization of the 6th Cham Cultural Festival in Ninh Thuan province in 2024; the Department of Planning and Investment continues to monitor and urge investors to proactively contact relevant sectors to complete legal procedures, speed up construction progress and commit to the progress of project completion; advise on the implementation of the province's night-time economic development project to ensure practicality, suitability, efficiency and compliance with regulations.
