Bean sprouts are a popular product used by people.
Bach Hoa Xanh system confirmed the above in a written response to Tuoi Tre Online newspaper on the afternoon of December 26.
According to Bach Hoa Xanh, as soon as there was information related to bean sprouts products in Dak Lak from supplier Lam Dao being sold at Bach Hoa Xanh, the unit immediately recalled and stopped selling all goods of this supplier, as well as re-tested all bean sprout products being supplied to the chain.
The system said that the supplier Lam Dao only supplies 2% of the total bean sprout output to the Dak Lak region. The unit is working closely with the authorities to clarify the matter.
“The unit always emphasizes the quality of hygiene and product safety. Products imported into the chain must provide full legal documents as required: Business license, food hygiene and safety certificate, test certificate announced according to QC criteria, related licenses... according to regulations of state agencies.
Bach Hoa Xanh always puts customers at the center, all products and services at the store are aimed at serving customers in the best way. We also have the spirit of learning, listening and always improving to meet customers' expectations every day", the unit affirmed.
Previously, Dak Lak provincial authorities simultaneously inspected 6 bean sprout production facilities in Buon Ma Thuot City. Among them were 2 facilities owned by Lam Van Dao - a supplier who is said to have supplied bean sprouts to the Bach Hoa Xanh system.
During the inspection, the Economic Police Department of Dak Lak Province Police discovered and seized more than 20.3 tons of bean sprouts that the group had soaked in the active ingredient 6-Benzylaminopurine. In addition, the police seized 37 plastic cans with 135 liters of the active ingredient 6-Benzylaminopurine.
Recently, authorities in many provinces and cities have continuously inspected and discovered many cases of production and trading of bean sprouts soaked in banned chemicals.
