On November 22, the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province held its 4th Congress of Delegates for the 2024 - 2029 term. Attending the meeting were Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Dang Phat, Vice Chairman and General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association, Mr. Iurii Nemtsov - Deputy Consul General of the Russian Federation in Ho Chi Minh City, along with leaders of a number of departments, branches and 70 official delegates.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Dinh Van Thieu, Vice Chairman of Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, congratulated and commended the achievements of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province in the past term.
Mr. Dinh Van Thieu emphasized that in the coming time, he requested the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province to continue to thoroughly grasp the orientation of people's foreign affairs of the Party and State, the instructions of the Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations to contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 18th Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Congress, Resolution No. 09 dated January 28, 2022 of the Politburo on building and developing Khanh Hoa province to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
Continue to consolidate, innovate and diversify the content of activities suitable for new conditions. Focus on expanding and strengthening friendly cooperation relations, improving the effectiveness of people-to-people diplomacy activities; consolidate and develop solidarity and friendship, actively participate, call on and attract businesses and Russian expatriates to learn about investment opportunities in the locality.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province for the 2024 - 2029 term, consisting of 11 members; in which, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Thanh continued to be elected to hold the position of President of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association of Khanh Hoa province.
On this occasion, Khanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee awarded certificates of merit to 1 collective and 1 individual who have made many contributions to people's foreign affairs; The Central Committee of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association awarded certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 9 individuals with outstanding achievements in the work of the Vietnam - Russia Friendship Association for the 2018 - 2024 term.
