In 2020, after graduating from the Academy of Educational Management (Hanoi), Ms. Le Nguyen Khanh Diep (Cam Ha commune) returned to her hometown and began her journey to start a business producing shampoo and cosmetic products from herbal plants. With the support of the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district, Ms. Khanh Diep was able to easily access the market to expand production and business.
Up to now, Ms. Le Nguyen Khanh Diep's startup model has not only brought economic efficiency to her family but also contributed to creating jobs for 5-7 women in the area with a salary of 3-5 million VND/person/month.

Ms. Le Nguyen Khanh Diep shared: “During my startup process, I was supported by the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district to connect with product consumption through many different channels and build OCOP products. The support of the district association inspired me to boldly develop new ideas to expand the scale of production and business. Currently, I am also accessing entrusted loans through the Women's Union to invest in building a production workshop."
Also supported by the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district to start a business, Ms. Lai Thi Huyen Chau (Cam Nhuong commune) has successfully built the brand of Mrs. Chau's dipping sauce - a specialty dish that has been lost for decades. "The problem that entrepreneurs have to overcome at first is to create trust with consumers through product quality. Through the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district, I have participated in many seminars and fairs in and outside the province to introduce products, thereby connecting with consumers" - Ms. Lai Thi Huyen Chau said.

Considered a "midwife" to help women start a business, in recent times, the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district has implemented many practical support activities to support its members. In recent years, implementing the project "Supporting women to start a business in the period of 2017-2025", the Women's Union at all levels of Cam Xuyen district has implemented many practical activities such as: helping members access loan sources; training, thoroughly understanding the content and knowledge of starting a business; supporting vocational training, creating jobs for members; supporting the establishment of cooperatives and cooperative groups managed and operated by women; building OCOP products owned by women... thereby contributing to effectively implementing the socio-economic development goals of the locality.
With the support of the organization, more and more economic models, enterprises, cooperatives, and groups led by women have appeared with an income of 100 - 500 million VND/year, contributing to solving employment for local workers. Up to now, the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district has supported more than 200 members to start a business in the form of household economic development; supported 15/22 products with 3-star OCOP or higher led by women.

The Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district also mobilized and supported the establishment of a women's business club in Cam Binh commune, connecting to establish a district-level women's business club. Up to now, the Women's Union of Cam Xuyen district has supported more than 19,000 members to borrow more than 200 billion VND from entrusted capital sources, contributing to supporting more than 200 economic models to promote efficiency.
From 2022 to present, Cam Xuyen District Women's Union has organized 187 vocational training classes, scientific and technical training; created jobs for 324 female members; supported 37 creative startup ideas.
Many of these ideas promote local advantages and are environmentally friendly, such as: Moc Dong natural shampoo in Cam Ha commune; peanut and sesame oil in Cam Duong commune; Moc Huong lemongrass essential oil in Cam Quan commune; herbal mosquito repellent bud processing workshop in Yen Hoa commune....

To continue to inspire creativity for women to start and do business, in the coming time, women's associations at all levels will continue to promote propaganda, raise awareness of members about starting a business; promote the realization of business ideas.
The Association will also promote emulation movements and campaigns to mobilize women's internal strength to help each other start a business; coordinate well the organization of activities to connect, access and effectively use loan sources. We will inspire members to confidently start a business, becoming an example of women who are "confident - self-respecting - loyal - responsible" in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country.
