According to GearRice , many rumors about the iPhone 16 series have been circulating online in recent months, and the latest information gives users a more detailed look at the battery on the most notable product line of 2024.
Apple will improve the quality and battery life of next year's iPhone line
New leaked photos of the first R&D phase for the battery components on the iPhone 16 Pro shared by famous leaker Kosutami on X show that not only the battery has a higher capacity, but its specifications are also revealed.
The report says the iPhone 16 Pro will have a 3,355 mAh battery and a limited charging voltage of 4.48V. In theory, the iPhone 16 Pro battery will be 2.5% larger than the iPhone 15 Pro, which has a 3,274 mAh capacity. The source points out that "the current stage prototype has changed some aspects of its design, from a glossy surface to a metal coating with a redesigned connector."
Previously, a report said that Apple is researching the use of graphene to improve the thermal conductivity of the iPhone 16, the cooling system and avoid overheating on the iPhone 15, which makes consumers uncomfortable. Not only that, the battery will also have a metal coating to help the iPhone 16 series not overheat, especially when charging for a long time.
Graphene is a widely used material in microchip manufacturing that is known to be stronger, lighter, and more flexible, with an estimated strength of up to 200 times that of steel. Furthermore, graphene has a thermal conductivity up to 10 times higher than copper.
