(Dan Tri) - Faced with criticism and criticism when Apple was behind its competitors in the race to develop artificial intelligence, CEO Tim Cook only gave a 4-word response.

Since ChatGPT created a global "fever" in early 2023, technology giants have joined a race to develop artificial intelligence (AI). Chatbots, software, and AI-integrated products are appearing more and more.

Google, Facebook, Huawei… all develop their own AI products. Meanwhile, Apple is quite calm in this race. It was not until last June that Apple introduced Apple Intelligence, the artificial intelligence system that "apple" will integrate into its products, including iPhone, iPad, Mac computers.

Apple's AI features include AI virtual assistant, image and text editing, object recognition and information search, email and text summarization using AI...

Although it was introduced months ago and Apple has continuously advertised and introduced the smart features of Apple Intelligence, until now, this AI toolkit has not been released by Apple. According to the plan, Apple will officially provide Apple Intelligence to users on October 28.

Because Apple is out of the AI development race and slow in launching AI-integrated software and products, the company has received much criticism from users and the technology community.

In a recent interview with The Wall Street Journal, Apple CEO Tim Cook spoke out for the first time about the company's slow pace in developing AI products.

In response to criticism aimed at the company, Tim Cook only gave a four-word answer: "Not first, but best." This shows that Tim Cook is very confident in the Apple Intelligence artificial intelligence system that the company plans to provide to users early next week.

"We're not the first to do AI, but we're doing it in a way that we think is best for our customers," Cook added in the interview.

Apple CEO also revealed that he himself is using Apple's AI features for work and he believes that these features will help users change the way they use "apple" devices.

"It changed my life, it really did. We have absolutely no problem with not being the first to develop AI. The reality is that it takes a while to get it really great," Tim Cook added.

Tim Cook believes that taking the time to perfect a product is the key to success at Apple, and Apple Intelligence will succeed in this way, despite launching after its competitors.

Apple has been heavily promoting its AI features for a while now, but users have yet to actually experience them.

Therefore, if Apple Intelligence is launched and is not really smart or does not meet the expectations of the technology community as well as users, Tim Cook will probably face a lot of criticism for over-claiming about this feature.

Apple Intelligence features will work on the entire iPhone 16 series, iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max duo, iPad Air 5, iPad Pro 5, iPad Mini 7, MacBooks and Mac computers using M1 chip and later.
